Home Made Chicken Soup Is The Number One Remedy For Colds And The Flu

      Or you might say that chicken soup is the number one choice in a lot of countries around the world for controlling or curing Colds and the Flu. There are also a whole bunch of other effective remedies that seem to work just as well. Some of these remedies will sound familiar while others are unheard of, but those who have used them including myself, claim that they all work.

      As I did my research on  " Home Made Chicken Soup ", I was very impressed as to how many countries around the world has made this Soup the number one Remedy. A list of those countries are as follows:    1. Germany.    2. Russia.    3. Austria.    4. Hungary.    5. Italy.    6. India.    7. Romania.    8. Spain.    9. France.    10. The entire Jewish Nation. 11. Many countries in Africa and most of the Spanish speaking countries in South America.    12. There are also many European countries that are not listed that know about and use Chicken Soup as a Remedy for Colds and the Flu. The people of China will also make chicken soup but they will also add some of their most popular herbs into the soup that will protect them from some of the other common diseases.
      I don't think that Americans from the USA are sold on this Remedy except for the Mountain and the Country Folk. Even many of the American Indians today use Chicken Soup as a cure all.
      One day while I was at work I was attending a safety meeting and our Bosses was showing us a movie on Chicken Soup. But the movie was showing us the negative side of this Remedy and they were making fun of it. It said that we are all being brain-washed into thinking that Chicken Soup was an excellent cure all and they felt that this soup was no better then any other soup. In other words they are saying that Chicken Soup does nothing for you that it is just a plain old soup. Later I talked to my boss and I told him that I disagreed with the movie that the movie makers have it all wrong. I told my boss that often times in life our bodies become unbalanced and this unbalance will make us feel sick. The whole purpose in eating the Chicken Soup was to bring back that balance. You are giving a natural soup to a natural body to make it feel natural again. I have used Chicken Soup many times and I find that it does work for the sickness that I had at that time.
      The Home Made Chicken Soup has fresh carrots, celery, lots of onions and peas. It could also have diced green and/or red bell peppers and I have seen diced potatoes. Of coarse there was the most important part and that was the chicken and the chicken broth. When you make this soup you cook the chicken first until it falls off the bones. If  you want very tender chicken then soak the chicken in salt water over night before you start cooking it. Remove the chicken and the bones and add all the above vegetables and cook them until you can poke a fork into them. Throw the chicken bones away and dice up the chicken meat putting it back into the almost done soup. Season the soup with salt and pepper and also at this time I will add raw onion to the last few minutes of this almost done soup. There are two reasons why I add the raw onion. For flavoring and also the fresh juices of an onion is excellent for Colds and the Flu. You could also add prepared egg noodles or elbow macaroni at this time. If you are one of those who do believe in Chicken Soup as a Cure-All for Colds and the Flu, I want you to know that you do not stand alone. A large per cent of the worlds population also believe in Home Made Chicken Soup.
      There are some wise people out there that will not throw the chicken bones away and they will reboil these bones into a 2nd kind of soup. This soup will have a lot of calcium and bone marrow. You could drink the broth by itself or you could remove the bones and add fresh vegetables to it making it a whole new kind of soup. This soup will fight your Colds and the Flu in a different way then that of the first soup and because of the Calcium and the Bone Marrow this 2nd soup would be more deadlier to Cancer Cells in our bodies then that of the 1st Chicken Soup.
      I know there are many out there who are more then likely to believe in the information of this safety movie that chicken soup is for the birds, so I am adding several natural Home Remedies that will help get rid of those Colds and the Flu that most of us have been unable to stop them from coming into our lives. Some of those Remedies are as follows:

      1. Make a  " Hot Tottie ". This Remedy has been around for a long, long time and this is very safe for children. The instructions are very simple. Put some warm water into a cup and add a tablespoon of organic vinegar. Then add the juice that was squeezed from a half of a lemon. Add a teaspoon of honey and stir well. You can sip on this all day with no side effects and a Hot Tottie is also soothing to a sore throat.
      The Old Timers will add two tablespoons of Blackberry Brandy to this Hot Tottie and the Mountain Folk will add two tablespoons of Whisky. If you choose to use this 2nd or 3rd way then I would suggest that you only drink just one before going to bed. It will help you to relax at night and it will help to kill some of those germs that are present in our bodies. Drinking just one of these with the Brandy will not get you drunk nor will you have a hangover. If you choose to give this type of Hot Tottie to a very sick child, I would suggest that you use One or Two Teaspoons of Blackberry Brandy into an already made Hot Tottie then let the child sip on this just before going to bed. This Brandy has Pectin in it which is excellent for colds and the Flu. The Whisky has no Pectin in it. If that child is very sick, it may be wiser to take that child to see a Doctor.

      2. Taking Vitamin C on a regular bases will protect you from getting a Cold or the Flu. People who took Vitamin C Pills everyday would very rarely catch a cold while others who were not taking Vitamin C they were getting sick.

      3. Ground up Flax Seed is great in preventing Colds and the Flu. I have a neighbor that grinds up Flax Seed on a regular bases and he adds it to his juices, his oatmeal, his yogurt or any other food that this Flax Seed could be sprinkled on. While others around him are getting Colds and the Flu, he never gets sick nor does he ever take a Flu Shot. I will add Flax Seed to my homemade bread, pancakes and my fresh ground hot whole grain breakfast cereal. There is one word of Caution! Flax Seed is a natural laxative and too much of it at one time could cause diarrhea. But with what little I have used and my neighbor also, neither one of us has that problem. My neighbor says his bowel movements are always comfortable.

      4. The eating of Garlic will prevent you from getting a Cold or the Flu. The eating or Garlic will greatly boost up you immunity system. A lady claims that while everyone else all around her are getting sick she seems to always feel, just fine. Throughout the year when this lady makes a meat sandwich she will add a slice of onion, tomato, green pepper and lettuce. She will also add Miracle Whip and slices of Garlic.
      A bus driver told me that when he was a kid he lived with his grandmother all winter and every day she would give him and his brothers a little piece of Garlic and she made them swallow it. He said while others ended up with the Colds and the Flu, he said that he and his brothers never got sick.
      When you feel a Cold coming on boil a few cloves of Garlic in a pan of water and then you sip on this Garlic Tea. Drinking this tea slowly will help a sore throat also. The Garlic needs to be cut up very fine or put it into a blender before boiling it. This Garlic Tea will kiss all Colds Good By!!
      Putting crushed Garlic into a vaporizer will not only cure a Cold but it will disinfect a whole room of its germs. The only thing that is bad this method will give your house a Garlic smell but that problem can be taken care of if you removed the Garlic and add a mint oil or Mentholatum.

      5. A fresh slice of Onion dipped into a cup of hot water a couple of times to make a simple Onion Tea will do wonders to a Cold when you sip on it. Also you will sleep better at night if you cut a Onion so that it can sit on your night stand all night long to where you can breath its fumes. I personally find this Remedy very effective. I will put my Onion on a stool next to my bed. It almost has a magical effect. It helps you to breath all night long with no coughing. This method really does work.

      6. Making a tea from the herb called Horehound. The dried leaves are made into a tea and this is excellent for Colds and the Flu. This tea will also loosen up the gunk that gets caught in you throat. The tea is very bitter and it needs to be sweetened with honey.
      Back in the good old days they use to make a hard tack candy called Horehound Candy. It was a popular candy in the winter time because of its effectiveness against Colds and a Sore Throat. This so called Horehound Candy is commonly sold in many stores throughout the Western part of the United States. But you have to acquire a taste for it. Because of its bitter-sweet taste most first time users will put a piece in their mouth and then they will spit it right back out again. Then they will say " How can anyone eat such awful candy. "  I have seen children eat this candy and very much enjoy it. Like I say, you have to acquire a taste for it. Most people do not like Beer or plain Black Coffee the first time they tried it. Personally I think both of these liquids are very nasty tasting and yet most of the people in the world drink both of these with no complaints.

      7. Both the Russians and the Mountain Folk in the United States will make a tea out of Elderberry Flowers. They will add Lemon Juice to this tea and it was used to cure colds and the Flu. Of course these flowers are probably not available when Cold season comes around but they can be bought at a health food store at a low price.

      8. Birch Bark Tea. The Old Timers claim that this is the Best Remedy when it comes to Colds, the Flu and sore throats. The recipe is as follows:
      You strip the bark from Birch Trees [ Sweet and/or Black Birch will have a wintergreen mint taste to it.] then you wash the bark and boil it until it turns to a murky brown. You strain the tea through a cloth and to each quart add one half of a cup of sugar, one tablespoon of honey and 6 Sage leaves. After you heat this mixture up you add one level teaspoon of Alum. When this liquid has cooled it will be known as  " Birch Bark Tea ", and it was stored in quart sized or half gallon containers.

      9. Sassafras Tea is excellent for Colds and the Flu. I use to drink this a lot when I was a child and I loved its taste. This tree grows commonly all over the Northeastern part of the United States, but not at all in the Mountain States and I am sure it grows in other parts of the world also. Sassafras Tea is commonly sold at health food stores.

    10. " Wild Cherry Bark Tea ". This tea is excellent for getting rid of the gunk in you throat. It is also known as the Chest Cold Tea and a Pep Tonic. This tea will control diarrhea. It will tune up your vocal cords. If you could not sing before you will be able sing now. I have used this tea a lot and it has a chalky texture to it when you gargle with it. I bought mine at a health food store.

    11. Another Tea that was good for a Cold or the Flu was to boil ground up Flax Seed into a tea, and just before you drink it you add Lemon Juice and honey to it.

   12. A Vaporizer is an excellent investment for those who may have the Flu or a Cold or Bronchitis. This one is excellent for children as well as for Adults. It is best to put the vaporizer into a tent next to a bed. In this way you get the full benefit of the vaporizer. You could add Vicks Salve, or Mentholatum or one of the mint oils. A couple sticks of Cinnamon will work also.

  13. At night rub yourself down on the neck and /or the chest with some Vicks Salve or Mentholatum. Then wear a bandanna around your neck to hold the heat in. This always felt good during a cold and this is also great for children.

  14. Eat plenty of fresh fruit during the " Cold Season ". Also fresh carrot juice or fresh apple cider is drank for Colds and the Flu.

 15. This is my own personal Remedy. Because I had to work out side for most of my life, I would wear a bandanna on my neck during the cold weather. This will keep the cold from blowing on your neck and across your chest. This is great for men or women. When it got extra cold outside, I would wear two bandannas because it would keep your neck extra worm. During cold weather I would also wear a stocking cap and a pair of gloves. This not only kept you warm but it also prevented colds. I would also wear three or four pairs of socks to keep my feet warm. During the summer months i would wear two pair of socks to soak up the sweat and prevent blisters from forming on my feet.
      During the summertime, I wear a bandanna on my neck most of the time because it soaks up the sweat on my neck and keeps it cool. It also helps to prevent sunburn on the back of the neck. If you watch any cowboy shows, most of them wear bandannas and long sleeve shirts on the hottest days. These clothes kept the cowboy cool and it also prevented the arms and the back of the neck from getting sunburned. They also used the bandanna to cover their faces during a dust storm. The Indians on the other hand would wear a band on their head. This prevented the sweat from coming off the eyebrows and rolling down their face. I do this also during the summer and wear a bandanna on my head when I am doing a lot of heavy work outside.

A Good Remedy For Sore Throat And Gingivitis.

      Everyone suffers from a sore throat at some time or another both at being a child or an adult. Our throats will become all congested with foreign matter that is chocking us and making us cough over and over again, and you wonder, " Will this cough ever go away! ". But before we go into a remedy for sore throat, we need to find out what causes these sore throats in the first place so that we can prevent them.
      There are four events that take place in North America and other parts of the world that are a major cause for sore throats. Can you guess what they are? The answer is:  1. Valentines Day  2. Easter  3. Halloween   4. and Christmas.  What do these four days have in common? Yes, the intake into our bodies of a lot of sweets, mostly Candies. At Christmas time we might be eating a lot of sweet breads, jelly rolls, glazed donuts and lots of cakes and cookies with plenty of frosting on them. These mouth watering treats may be some what  " Yummy For The Tummy "  but they are not so great for the throat. All that sugar in the throat just before we go to bed will cause the throat to swell up and become sore and raspy. As a rule of thumb even though this rule is hard to follow:  " Never Eat Any Sweets After 6 P.M. ". Make sure your mouth is all brushed out at least 2 hours before you go to bed. Make sure also that at least one glass of water has been drank after 6 pm to help clear the throat of all foreign matter. For those of you who enjoy the Soda Pops, please no pops after 6 pm. But most people are not going to live this rule and say Heck with it. so if you end up with a sore throat, you can blame yourself.
      There are two kinds of candies that I leave completely alone because they can cause a sore throat real fast. These are:  1. Candy Corn  2. and Orange Candy Peanuts.  Candy Corn or any other candy that is made from the same stuff but are made into Hearts, Eggs, Pumpkins, Christmas Trees and the list goes on and on, these candies can make a sore throat real quick.  The same goes with the orange Candy Peanuts. When you suck on them they turn to pure sugar and when you eat either one of these candies it will quickly make your throat very sore. I am sure that each one of you can tell me about a certain candy that will quickly make your throat sore. Regardless as to how good they may taste, we need to leave them alone.
      Two other times that sore throats will take place, but you will find this more common in children is when we take them to the movies and they eat all that candy. The other time is eating all that cake with lots of frosting and ice cream on birthdays and special holidays. Also there are other factors that will make our throats very sore and they are Pollen or Dust in the air, polluted air that you would find in many of our bigger cities, poisonous gases from factories, steel mills and chemical plants, all of these can cause our throats to be dry, raspy and sore.
      There are lots of remedies that are good for sore throat and some work better then others. I have found a remedy that I like better then all the others and I will tell you about it at the end of this article. It is also an excellent remedy for Gingivitis. The more popular remedies for sore Throat are as follows:

      1. The old fashion remedy is to gargle with warm salt water. This was the common remedy that many wise Mothers would pass this on to their children. I find it to be kind of gagging and I hated to use this remedy even though it was my Mothers favorite remedy. You had to gargle many times with salt water before you found relief. I heard a lot of years later that if you add real lemon juice to the salt water it will make the gargle way more effective. Try it. Maybe it will do wonders for you.

      2. Buy some organic vinegar under the name of  " Braggs ".  Put two tablespoons of this vinegar into a glass of warm water and gargle with this solution. I found this to be more comforting to my sore throat then what I found from gargling with salt water. Again you could add lemon juice to double the effect of this gargle. In my opinion I believe this to be a better way then gargling with that nasty salt water. Also if you swallow this solution rather then spit it out it will have positive side effects on your body. These side effects include lowering your blood pressure, dissolving all crystals in the body, slowing down your aging process, preventing winkles on your face when you get older and the vinegar will kill cancer cells in your body. All of these side effects show that taking a tablespoon of vinegar in a glass of water is good to drink everyday, and that is a true statement. Do not drink milk for at least an hour after drinking the vinegar water. Milk and Vinegar together will sour your stomach.

      3. Make a  " Hot Tottie ". This is an excellent gargle for sore throat. This is also excellent to sip on when you have a cold or when you are all congested up. This is also good to sip on when colds and flu are headed your way and it may prevent you from getting sick. The recipe is as follows:  Take a cup of hot water and add two tablespoons of organic vinegar. Squeeze into the hot water the juice of a half of lemon, then add a tablespoon of honey and stir well. You can gargle with this solution or you can slowly sip on it until it is all gone. The old timers would also add two tablespoons of Blackberry Brandy. This Brandy has natural Pectin in it which is also a benefit for colds and the flu. The mountain folk would use two tablespoons of any kind of Whisky saying this Hot Tottie was excellent for any kind of cold. In my opinion a Hot Tottie works great either way you choose.

      4. Swallow a teaspoon of honey with a few drops of real lemon juice. This will help a sore throat and a cough. If it does not work the first time try it a second time. Kids like this remedy because it is sweet. Personally, I have tried this method and sometimes it works and then there are other times when it will not work. Try it! IF it does not work then you can try something else.

      5. Make a homemade Cough Syrup that is also soothing to a sore throat. Do the following:
      Chop up a medium size onion, and put this into a quart size jar. Then you add two cups of honey putting this over the onions. Then you add the juice that has been squeezed from a whole lemon. If you let the lemon sit in hot water for a few minutes then you can squeeze more juice out of the lemon. Then you add one cup of Blackberry Brandy. Shake this solution very well and store it in a refrigerator. For a cough or to sooth a sore throat take one teaspoon every three hours.

      6. Gargling or drinking a tea made of  " Verba  Santa " leaves will loosen up the mucus in the throat. This tea can be bought at a Health Foods Store.
      7. Gargling with the tea made from  " Wild Cherry Bark ". The bark from sweet or pie cherries will work also. This is the number one herb for getting rid of mucus and foreign matter from out of the throat. I bought mine from a health foods store and when you gargle with it, it has a chalky  texture to it. Swallowing some of it will not hurt you. This tea is also used to control Diarrhea. This tea will also tune up your vocal cords. If you couldn't sing before, you will be able to sing now, and if you have a lovely voice, it will be greatly improved. CAUTION:  Pregnant women should not use this Herb called  " Wild Cherry Bark Tea  ". It has a chemical compound called " Punasin " that could cause Birth Defects. But for everyone else it is a great gargling tea that will get rid of all that " Gunk " that seems to collect in our throats. I will generally put a half of a teaspoon to a cup of warm water, then you stir well and gargle. What ever you have left over, you could let it sit by the sink. Whenever I use it again I add some more water, then I will reheat it in the microwave, stir, and start gargling again. Put your finger in the tea to make sure it is not too hot for gargling. If it is too hot, then just add a little bit of cold water so it will feel comfortable on your throat.

      8. The drinking of Fenegreek Seed Tea will get rid of mucus throughout the whole body.

      9. Often at times Lemons and Limes will go on sale at a store for 5 or 6 for a dollar. My wife will buy 5 dollars worth and take them home and soak them in warm water for a few minutes. This will soften up the fruit so you can squeeze more juice out of them. Then she will put the fresh juice and some pulp into ice trays and let them freeze over night. When the cubes are ready she will take them out of the trays and put them into a zip-lock bag and leave them in the freezer. When you feel a cold, a cough or a sore throat coming on, put one of those Lemon cubes into a water bottle with a lid on it and shake it. When the cube melts you have a cool Lemon water drink that will be very soothing to a cough or a dry raspy throat. This is a wonderful Remedy for Children. Adding honey to it will not only sweeten it but it will also improve the medical properties against a sore throat.

     10. There is a popular mouthwash that is sold at the store called  " Listerine ", and people who have used it for sore throats, they claim that it does a wonderful job. I remember when this product first came out on the market and my Mom bought it as a mouthwash and a gargle. Holy Cow! It was awful tasting. I couldn't figure out how anyone could ever want to use that nasty tasting stuff. My Mom and Dad would use it a lot but we kids wouldn't touch it. All of these years that I have been married, I have never bought the product called  " Listerine ", and my wife does not like it nor will we ever use that nasty garbage. But if you like it then go for it. Like I said that others have claimed that this mouthwash does wonders to sore throats. Again I do believe that the use of Listerine is an adult remedy and children should be given something else for their sore throats.
     11. A teaspoon of Blackberry Brandy with a few drops of lemon juice will also help a sore throat. That is what the old timers will tell you. This will also be great for children, but children don't need to know  what medicine they are taking. Blackberry Brandy has a sweet pleasant taste to it and the natural Pectin in this brandy is good for colds, flu and sore throats in both children and adults.

    12. At many stores in the western part of the United States there is candy made from the herb called  Horehound. These candies have a bitter-sweet taste to them and usually the first time users will spit them right back out onto the ground. Many children have acquired a taste for these candies and they eat them all the time. They are made with honey and they are great for sore throats and for people who have the Flu or a bad Cold. These candies are sold in many stores throughout the western states of the United States in the USA, or they can be ordered from the internet. Just punch in Horehound Candy Sales.

      As I have already said, I have a personal remedy for sore throat and I will use it First because it really works better then all the others. Not only is it good for a sore throat but it is also great for the nagging coughs that sometimes keeps you awake for half the night  This remedy will help you to sleep all night long comfortably........and I kid you not.   The remedy is that you gargle with is PEROXIDE. The same Hydrogen Peroxide that you buy  in the stores to disinfect sores. On the back side of the bottle it does say: WARNING! For external use only and do not put this into your eyes. I figured if peroxide was excellent for outside sores then why not for a sore throat. So the next time I had a sore throat I gargled with Hydrogen Peroxide. It foams up all over in your throat as you gargle and I will gargle for one or two minutes before I spit it out. But I will NOT rinse my mouth out with water. Instead I will leave that foam in my mouth so that the Peroxide can work on my throat all night long. Most generally by morning my sore throat is gone. When the nagging coughs would come and go, again I leave that foam of Peroxide in my throat and I can sleep all night long with no more problems. Some times one gargling will not work and I have to gargle a second time. But over all, gargling with Peroxide has given me more sleep then any other remedy. Sometimes I have to swallow some of the Peroxide to get to some of the lower areas that the gargling won't touch. One word of Caution that I wish to leave with you is that this Hydrogen Peroxide Remedy is an adult remedy for getting rid of sore throat. This Remedy is not for children because they will be more likely to swallow it. Too much Peroxide in your body could be harmful. So keep the bottle of Peroxide out of children's reach. But for adults, Peroxide is a great sore throat and cough reliever. As for children, let them try one of the milder ways of curing a sore throat that is listed up above and below.

      Also rubbing Vicks Salve or Mentholatum on the chest and neck will help to relieve a sore throat. Be sure to tie a neckerchief around the neck to help hold the heat on the neck. Vaporizers are also good at this time for coughs and sore throats. Into the vaporizer you could put the spice called cloves or cinnamon, or you could put in the oil of peppermint or spearmint, or you could add some Vicks salve or Mentholatum. Vinegar will also work in a vaporizer. All of these will fill the air with a strong scent that will help a cough or a sore throat. Again this Remedy  is wonderful for both children and adults.

      For the last 20 years I have had Gingivitis twice. When food gets trapped between the gums and the teeth and it does not get properly brushed out, it will become infected and your gums will swell up with puss. Often the side of your mouth that will have the infection, the gland in your neck will swell up as though you have the mumps. When this happens I will put Hydrogen Peroxide on to my toothbrush and scrub out the whole inside of my mouth real well. Then I will rinse out my mouth and I will repeat the process. This will most generally put a stop to the Gingivitis. If you live near a Dentist, I would advise to go see him for Gingivitis. But if you live way out in the boonies far from a Dentist, you could try this method. If it worked for me it then it should work for you too.

Stretching And Yawning And Taking A Nap Everyday Will Help You To Live Longer

      Most of us will wake up in the morning and jump out of bed and into the shower. Then we will get dressed, have a cup of coffee and some breakfast, then we are out the door and on our way to work. On weekends we might sleep in a little longer, but if we have other activities planned, then we are again out of that bed and we are getting ready for the weekend.
      How many of you readers out there have had a dog or a cat for a pet? Have you ever noticed that when a dog or a cat first wakes up, what do they both do? They stretch their front legs and give out a big yawn and then they stretch their back legs and give out another yawn. Many times both dogs and cats will do this stretch twice. In fact just about every time the dog and cat gets up from any sleep time they are stretching and yawning. This is natures way of telling us that stretching and yawning after a good nights rest is good for all of us. But most of us are not in the habit of doing these stretches every morning.
      But today is a good day to start Stretching and Yawning. By doing so you will live a lot longer, you will be more healthier and you will be more alert to your everyday problems. So from now on when you wake up in the morning, take a minute and lay on your back and stretch out your body as much as you can and then give out a big yawn. Then you stretch a 2nd time and let out another yawn. Now you can jump out of that bed and take your shower. But before you get dressed or after you get dressed [ I will generally still have my pajamas on when I do this.] lay on the floor and put your head on a pillow and again stretch your body and give out a big yawn. I will do this stretching and yawning two or three times. Then you take a couple of minutes and stretch your legs, and you rotate your arms or swing your legs while you are standing still. You could even do some jumping jacks or jump rope like my wife does every morning. These exercises will get your blood circulating really good. Everyone should spend 5 to 10 minutes doing these body stretches but if you are really pressed for time then just lay on the floor and stretch and yawn. Take this program seriously. It is not stupid. I have a son that does Yoga exercises just about every morning saying that this is a wonderful way to start your day off.
      For those of you who decide to start your own stretch and yawning program, you will find that you will be more alert all day. Your mind will think more clearly and your attitude will be more on the positive side. You will live longer and be less sick then those who do not stretch and yawn. I also believe that the stretching and yawning will bring more Balance to your body. Remember, if nature makes dogs and cats stretch and yawn then humans need to practice this habit also.
      It is also wise for all of us to lay on the floor at midday and again do some body stretches and yawns. If you have time add some other exercises also. Everyone has their private place to do this. You don't have to do this stretching in front of everyone. Many people will go walking on their lunch breaks and this is great exercise also. No one can go wrong by doing some extra walking.

      All Parents who allowed their young children to take naps everyday they have discovered that these children were by far less cranky and they could get along with other children with less fights and disagreements. Children who took naps were more controllable, and Parents did not get so upset with them.
      The same principle of taking a daily nap and making a person feel 100% better can apply to Adults also. Most of us have such a busy schedule with our jobs and family life that there just is no time to squeeze in a midday nap even though we would love to have one. Others have a job that gives them an hour off for lunch, and they can take the time to take a 15 to 30 minute nap. Believe it or not many who have jobs that are centered around doing a lot of thinking and pondering and they are expressing themselves to other people on a regular bases like Lawyers, Congressmen, Senators, all kinds of Doctors and scientists, many of these people do indeed take a nap everyday. A daily nap will clear your mind. It will help you to think more accurately. Your mind will be more relaxed in your problem solving. You will be able to express yourself around other people and others will enjoy spending time with you. Taking a nap will help you to be more on the positive side and you will be more healthier then those who do not take a daily nap. But this also depends on if you are practicing common sense. Both smoking and drinking will make you less healthy and so will a diet of junk food. It is very important to eat the foods that have the natural vitamins and minerals. So let us go out there and get our bodies more balanced today then it was yesterday.

      Taking a daily nap is excellent for everyone no matter what age you are. I Promise you that if you take a daily nap that all the above attributes will be experienced in your life also no matter what age you are, and if you are Wise, you will live longer and more healthier then others who are not so Wise.

Remedies On How To Never Have Credit Card Debt.

      This subject is more like how to use a credit card  " Wisely ". Many of you have had a credit card and had to pay high interest on an unpaid balance. This is no fun and the future may bring much stress and discomfort before your credit card debt is paid off. The whole purpose of this article is to set some rules so that all credit card owners will never have to pay interest on their credit cards ever again. For those of you who will soon be on your own, if you follow these few simple rules, you will never, ever have to pay credit card debt like others before you who have been stuck with it. Having to pay off a credit card debt will hurt you in many ways. If you don't like my rules then make up your own set of rules and then  " Live By Them! ".

Rule Number One.

      Learn To Budget Your Money.

      Pay everything with cash. Buy a Journal or a notebook and when you get your next paycheck write every item down and what you paid for it. This includes food, personal items, monthly utility bills, car payments, rent or house payments, going to the movies, snacks, tobacco, pop and beer, eating out or any toys you may have bought to make yourself happy. Don't cheat yourself, write everything down. When you start running short on money before the next paycheck comes, look back to where your money has been spent. Always remember to write the balance of what is left from your last paycheck so that you will  know at all times how much money you have left. In this way by showing your remaining balance you will not over spend your paycheck. It is also important to start a savings program so that when something breaks down, you will have extra money to pay for it. As a rule of thumb put 10% of each pay check into a savings account. But don't cheat yourself. Put money back into the bank to replace what you have drawn out so that the next time things get out of hand, you will again have money in the bank to pay for it.
      Do this budget long enough until you feel really good to where your money is going and you are living within your means. It is not how much money you can make that is important but how wisely you can spend your hard earned money and how to make that money stretch. By budgeting your money, you will have learned to say NO, and you will have extra money to put into the bank and you will feel very comfortable with how you are spending your money in between paychecks. When you get very comfortable with how you are budgeting your money wisely, then you are ready for a credit card.  " Do Not Use A Credit Card Until You Feel Comfortable With How You Are Budgeting Your Money!!!! ". Believe it or not some people will pay everything with cash. They don't even have a checking account which is OK because you never have to worry about your balance and you will not have to pay any penalties. But in this day and age most of us will never see a paycheck ever again. All of this money will go into a Direct Deposit and most of our utility bills will be paid on line.

Rule Number Two.

      Never Use Your Credit Card As A Second Paycheck.

      Too many people who are not wisely spending their money will run low on cash and then they will use a credit card for money that is not there. In other words the credit card is being used as a second paycheck. That is why it is so important to budget your money so you can live comfortably from paycheck to paycheck with no problems. Treating the credit card as a 2nd paycheck will get you into a lot of trouble with Credit Card Debt. So again I say  " Never Use Your Credit Card As A 2nd Paycheck!!!! ".

Rule Number Three.

      Never Use Your Credit Card Unless You Already Have Money In The Bank To Pay For What Will Be Charged On The Credit Card.

      This means that you have an active bank account in which you are adding money to it on a regular bases and you know how much is in that account. Always have more money in your account then what your credit card will ever pull out. As a rule of thumb, I will have over a thousand dollars in my checking account so that when I use my credit card the total amount that has been with drawn, it will rarely go under the thousand that is left in the bank. In other words I always know what is in my checking account so when I use my credit card I already feel comfortable with my final balance. This in its self will protect me from ever having credit card debt. How much money that you wish to have in your account is totally up to you. But in an emergency to where I might need several hundred dollars, I still can use my credit card safely and wisely.

Rule Number Four.

      Always Pay Off Your Credit Card Bill With In 5 Days After You Have Received It.

      Don't put it off. Make this a habit. If you have followed the other three rules then paying off the monthly bill should never be a problem. That is why it is so important for you to never use your credit card unless you already have money in the bank to pay for it.

      If you are one of those people who will find that these four rules are hard to live by, then you should never use a credit card. A credit card will ruin your life and then some. You will be unhappy, uncomfortable and other people will not enjoy being around you. On the other hand, if you live by these 4 rules very seriously, I promise you that you will enjoy a peace of mind that only a few others will enjoy, and by doing so you will never, ever have to pay credit card interest for the rest of your life. The Number One Remedy For Depression

      Because we are all human, all of us are subject to " Depression ". Many things can bring on Depression: Bad experiences, Stupid mistakes, The loss of a loved one, Not spending your paycheck wisely, Handicaps, Physical problems, The lack of friends, Not smart or bright enough to gain a college education, A stressful job, Uncontrolable children that are diving you up a wall, An alcohol or drug problem that is getting the best of you, How to keep up on your car payments and utility bills each month, Getting along roughly with your spouse, friends or relatives and the list goes on and on. You all know what I mean! Experiences like these can make you feel very low, worthless, unloved or unwanted.
      I went through a series of skin problems when I was younger that took the best out of me. I had a very bad case of Acne, Boils, Itches and Puss pockets would form all over my whole body. I was an ugly mess for several years and during that time I had no friends except my loving Mother and a dog who couldn't care less as to how I looked. I was also a slow learner. Nothing would sink into that thick head of mine. I would try my best but all I could make was D's and F's in school. To this day I wonder how others can do it making excellent grades in Trigonometry, College Algebra, Algebretic Functions, Physics, Chemistry or Advanced Biology. I had some good teachers who felt sorry for me when I took Geometry and Physics in high school. They took me under their wings and greatly helped me to where I was able to make C's in both classes. Both of these teachers made me feel that I was really worth something. But the rest of the time I felt really low, unloved and worthless. I tried many times to kill myself. I dreamed up a lot of ways to end my life, but I was always too scared to go through with it. But I am glad that I am still alive to this very day. A lot of things are taking place in my life that makes me feel that I am a " Somebody " and not a " Nobody ",  that I can bring a good thing to others where ever I go. I am excited to get up each day and make a positive difference in someone else's life. I am proud that I am able to make friends where ever I go just by being friendly. My Dad was that way.
      The Boy Scouts have an excellent slogan that we all need to memorize and follow its instructions. " Do a good turn daily ". But if I was to rewrite it, it would then say " Do many good turns daily ". Yes, helping others to be happy and to be of good service to them without pay, this will greatly control depression. In fact some day depression will go away and never come back when we are actively doing service work. You see,  when we make others happy and see to some of their needs, then we forget about those things that made us low and worthless in the first place. Oh! You will still have your everyday personal problems, but helping others will help you to be strong. By taking those personal problems one at a time and over coming them, you will someday be on the top side of those problems and you will still be making others happy and there will be no room for depression. 
      Look at me, I use to be deep in debt, and I took one problem at a time and I tried not to add any new ones. Today I am out of debt. It is a peaceful feeling to wake up to each morning knowing that you are somewhat on the top of your problems and you are finding new ways to make others happy. You know, I have not been depressed for a long, long time, and you too will become this way too someday. 

      So keep plugging at it, and someday you too will enjoy that same peace of mind that only a few of us in this whole world do enjoy. We are bringing about a big difference in other peoples' lives because we love to serve them! And you can be that way too and kiss depression good by forever.

      There is a second way to overcome Depression that is very effective, and if it works for me it should work for you also. This is kind of a fun way to kiss Depression good by.
      Most Adults will tell you that once you have grown up there is no turning back to where we could be children again, that this is not the Adult thing to do. When you become an Adult you will always be an adult, and that you need not to practice your childish habits any more. But guess what? I disagree and I will tell you why. At Christmas time when we all exchange gifts, we temporarily become children again or we may think back to the many happy experiences we have had in past years during Christmas. As Parents with younger children we will often get onto the floor and help to play with the new toys and it is hard to say no to the remote control toys. When we get on the floor and act like children again during Christmas time do you think anyone really cares? I don't think so and I do believe that our children are are enjoying that extra time that we are spending with them, and everybody is happy!  So when ever Depression sets in reflect back on those happy moments that you enjoyed as a child and don't be afraid to even to go back to some of those childish things that made you happy. If you was one who enjoyed dolls and you were feeling depressed, don't be afraid to enjoy those dolls all over again. I have a neighbor who is over 65 years old and she has over 500 dolls on display at her house. She has enjoyed playing with her dolls and making clothes for them ever since she was a little girl and no one thinks that she is childish. In a near by town another Adult has kept all her dolls since she was a kid and have added to her collection over the years and guess what?, she has a special room that has couches and chairs as well as other furniture and dolls are sitting or standing everywhere in that room. That room is off limits to everyone except those who are doll lovers. Is that Adult childish? No! She is just as normal as anyone else. Many Men and some women enjoy owning and playing with electric trains. Are they being childish because that is where their interest happens to be?
      What I am trying to say is when Depression sets in don't be scared to practice some of those childish things that made you happy. This in itself will kiss Depression good by. This could be playing in the sand pile with other children or even by yourself, playing with toys that run on remote control, playing with children's toys, playing with dolls or electric trains or playing children's games with other children and the list can go on and on. Adults have there own toys and many children enjoy them also. This includes snowmobiles, RV's, boats of all different sizes, camping trailers, an expensive camera, large scale remote controlled airplanes, heavy equipment, boats, cars and trucks and this list can go on and on. In other words when Depression sets in there are many ways to by pass it.
      A third way to overcome depression is to find a Hobby that is a challenge. A Hobby that will keep your mind and body actively involved. There are many  Hobbies out there to choose from. I chose story writing. I have a book at home with over 500 stories, and I enjoy reading the stories over and over again. Maybe I will make a book of stories, or start another website called  " Uncle Bob's Most Famous Stories ". These stories are true stories, funny stories, children stories, Bermuda Triangle stories, Sasquatch stories that others claim to be true and stories about the lives of important people. I even have some government secret  project stories that will blow your mind. Like the Philadelphia Experiment, The Rainbow Project, The Phoenix Project, stories of Area 51 that have been kept a secret all of these years, stories of other underground Military Bases and Time and Dimension Experiments that took place at Montauk Air Force Base from 1936 to 1983.       But the best way to overcome Depression is to become a part of another person's life and find ways to make their load lighter and when they become happy you will be happy and you will cease to be Depressed. This method really works and if you don't believe me, give it a try. The medicines that Doctors give you for Depression can never compare to the happiness that you can bring to someone else's life.

Barefoot Therapy

      When we were all children many of us ran around in our bare feet. Walking in your bare feet is very healthy. All the nerves in the body end up in your feet and by walking  bare footed,  it toughens them and it automatically massages them.
      There are foot doctors out there who can and will give you a foot massage if you ask them. They can tell you if your kidneys and liver are working normally, or if you are having heart problems, or if any of your glands are not properly working and the list goes on and on. I honestly believe that a foot doctor can tell you what is wrong with you more then a medical doctor can. Half of the time a medical doctor is guessing as to what is wrong with you when you tell him about your aches and pains. A foot doctor will tell you where your aches and pains are without even asking any questions. When they work on you and tell you what is wrong. you actually wonder as to " How do they do that? ". Chiropractors can also tell you where your aches and pains are before they even give you an adjustment. I have noticed that a Chiropractor can show you painful places that you did not even knew you had.
      If you are an adult and if you are not doing some of your exercise program in your bare feet, then you need to start. There are no beer drinkers at my house so I don't have to worry about any beer bottles getting broken on my front or back lawns. I do sometimes get rocks on the lawn and I blame that on the grand kids when they are outside playing. So when it is nice outside and I have done my indoor stretches, I will go outside and walk on my lawn in my bare feet for one to two miles. CAUTION! Do not walk on your lawn unless you know for sure that there is no broken glass or any other sharp and/or pointed objects that could provide you with some very uncomfortable feet. If you do not trust your own lawn then maybe you could trust your neighbor's lawn. You can probably trust an old lady's lawn and she will gladly let you walk on her lawn if you promise to mow it every once in a while or rake her leaves. Who knows, maybe she will come out and walk in her bare feet too, or make you a plate of cookies. But most of all, these old ladies will become your friend for life and it is worth it.
      Do not trust city parks for bare foot walking. Everyone uses the city parks for their family parties. You are not allowed to drink at the city parks, but who obeys that rule? Many of these family members will drink bottled beer or the bottled whiskies. So can you trust a city park? I most certainly would not!
      It is also good to walk on rocks but just any rocks is not good enough. If any of the rocks that you will be walking on have sharp edges, they could cut up your feet. So for best results make your own rock path. Pick up flat and smooth rocks for your pathway. Water the ground where your path will be until it turns to mud, then you push the smooth rocks into the mud. When the mud dries you will have your own rock pathway. A rock pathway that you can trust to walk on in your bare feet. One of these rock pathways would look really good in your flower garden. But in the winter time when it is cold outside, I walk inside my house in my bare feet on the carpeted floors. By the way, your home made rock pathway will someday go to weeds, but this can be controlled by spraying the weed remover called " Round-Up " on to your rock pathway once in the spring and once in the fall.
      If you walk in your bare feet almost everyday the whole year round, you will discover an inter strength that you thought you never had. Also when you walk in your bare feet this will boost up your immunity system to where you will not get sick very often of the common diseases.
      Walking in your bare feet can put callouses on your feet. To keep your feet soft and also from drying out put lotion on your feet before you go to bed. If you want to double the your chances of making your feet soft then ware socks after you put lotion on your feet.
   
      Try it!  It does work!

Remedies For Body Odor.

      When we work we sweat, and when we sweat we give off a smelly body odor. Like our finger prints where no two are the same, the same goes for our body chemistry, our DNA and our body odor. Some people have a right down stinky body odor, while others could be working all day long and become really sweaty but they may not stink like other people do. You all know what I mean when someone walks by and they are giving off a smell that is disagreeable to all of us. Can we all say the same for ourselves that we never stink. We are all familiar with our own smell but to others we may stink also.
      The whole purpose of this article is to give some suggestions to everyone so that we may not have the odor that we smell in other people when they pass us by.
      One of the number one remedies for body odor in general is to take " Zinc " tablets. Zinc can be found in just about any store that sells vitamins and minerals. Zinc tablets will cause a balance in your body and it will get rid of body odor. I have taken these tablets myself one a day after a full meal. Or you could buy a bag of unshelled raw pumpkin seeds. These are very high in zinc, and they are tasty to eat.
      When we were children, my Mom would give us chlorophyll tablets saying that they got rid of body odors. Another way to stop body odor is to take a bath every day when you are going to be around other people. Do not use a bar of soap on your hair. Use shampoo and because it is concentrated it can also be used as a body wash, but I like to use it on my face. Shampoo is very comforting as a face wash and so is a liquid body soap. When you run out of shampoo, any concentrated dish soap or liquid body soap can make a good substitute as a hair wash. The dish detergent called " Joy " is good for an extra dirty body and/or hair when you have been working around gasoline, oil and grease.  Again do not use soap on your hair. Soap will cause your scalp to flake off and dry up the skin. Then you will have dandruff like you wouldn't believe. You can wash the rest of your body with liquid body soap or rub hand soap onto a wash rag and scrub down your whole body. Then you rinse.

      There is one smell that is a common smell on people who do not properly clean everything on their bodies. It is a must that you do the following if you do not want to smell as they do.Do not be upset at what I am about to say. You just do it and you don't say anything to anyone. Before you get out of the shower or tub, put plenty of soap on your rag and you clean out the inside of your rear-end. This will get rid of the smell that is common in those people who do not do this. If you want to be really fresh and clean and never have that odor that other people have, then always clean all your private body parts before you get out of the tub or shower. This in itself will clear up the odor that other people may smell. I am serious about this! In the long run you will be glad that you did. It will also help greatly in preventing cancer in those areas.
      After you get out of the shower, there are several things you can do to make yourself clean and fresh when you are around other people.Did you know that ' Baby Powder ' is not for just babies only. Adults can use it also with great success. You just just rub it all over your body and smell good for the rest of the day. If you don't like the smell then buy the unsented  baby powder. A good substitute for baby powder is Baking Soda or if you still have some of this around your house, use Borax Powder. Both of these can be rubbed all over the body and they will make you smell good all day long. They will also prevent your body from itching after climbing out of the shower. Also there is the common way of using under arm deodorants after a bath and/or use after shave on your face and neck for men or women could use perfume on themselves and their clothes. Remember also that wearing clean clothes will make a big difference also.
      Sometimes when my clothes don't smell 100% sweet, and I am too big in a hurry to change them, I will go into the bathroom and grab a can of air freshner and I will some what spray my clothes down so that I will smell better and I feel better also.
      One other area that gets stinky is the insides of our mouths. Mouthwashes, breath mints and gum only work for a very short time. But for long lasting results put baking soda on your toothbrush and brush your gums, brush the top of your mouth, brush the top of your tongue and on its sides and the bottom of the tongue, and then you rinse your mouth out with water. This will give you some sweet smelling breath for several hours, and it is not poopy smelling like what other people have. I know and I have used this remedy for many, many years. It may be simple but it sure does work.

      We can walk around smelling awful to other people or we can walk around smelling sweet. the choice is up to you. I am sure you have seen these car fresheners  that you hang up somewhere inside your car. well if your own body odor was something that bothered you when you were around other people, you could always wear a car freshener around your neck and hide it under your clothes, then you will know for sure that you will smell good to others all day long. These fresheners will also fit into any of your pockets.

Molasses And Milk An Old Remedy But Still A Good Remedy

      Molasses is very rich in several minerals. These minerals are as follows: calcium, iron, potassium, organic sulfur, chromium, copper, magnesium, manganese and zinc. There are stories of people who are suffering from eczema and they have tried just about everything including following the instructions of a Dermatologist. Then they would try molasses and milk and drink this twice a day and guess  what, it gave them relief from the eczema when nothing else would work.
      Molasses and milk is a hand-me-down remedy that goes from grandparent to grandparent to way back when, and when ever this remedy got started.....who knows. But back in the good old days when everyone grew a garden, they all enjoyed the fresh vegetables that were enriched with the many vitamins and minerals. 
      From eating these fresh vegetables people did not get sick as often, but in the winter time it was a different story being that fresh vegetables were no longer available. Because molasses has vitamin B-6 and the nine minerals that are listed up above, it was wise to mix molasses and milk together and drink this on a regular bases all winter long when fresh fruits and vegetables were not available. In other words it was a natural vitamin and mineral pill or juice that was taken in the winter time, and those people who drank it were less likely to get sick over those who did not drink it. Also raw milk that comes from cows, goats and sheep, it has the following Vitamins: B-1, B-2, B-3, B-5, B-6, B-12 and Vitamin C. Milk also has a fair amount of Vitamins A and D, and it has traces of Vitamins E and K. Raw milk also has the following Minerals:  Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Selenium and Zinc. Milk also has traces of:  Copper, Iron, Manganese and Sodium. But when the raw milk is processed and we buy the milk in a store, that milk has much less the Vitamins and Minerals compared to raw milk. You need to remember that these animals are eating Vitamin and Mineral enriched plants everyday and those Vitamins and Minerals are passed on to us when we drink the raw milk. If you are interested in drinking raw milk instead of the processed milk then go to a dairy community and ask the people in that town as to which farmers will sell you their raw milk. The Grade A Dairy Farms have the best raw milk to drink. By the way most dairy farmers do drink their own raw milk. They live to a ripe old age and they do not get sick very often. Most of the farm wives do grow large gardens every year giving the family fresh fruits and vegetables all summer long.
      As kids we drank molasses and milk all of our lives. My sister who is nine years older then me, she talks about going to Grandmas when she was a little girl and Grandma would give her molasses and milk to drink and they told her to drink it all because it was very healthy for her. Our grandparents drank it everyday.
      In our family, staff infection was common in the way of skin problems. I personally had to cope with most of these skin problems in my early years. I had acne, boils, impetigo, chicken pox, measles, eczema, and puss pockets that would appear all over the whole body. Some of my brothers also had skin problems but not as bad as I did. Most of these skin problems took place in a ten year period between 5 and 15 years old. Most of these problems were brought under control by living a strict diet in my teenage years.

       That diet was as follows: no sugar, no oily foods, no greasy foods, no fried foods, no cheese, no peanut butter, in fact I was not to eat any of the nuts, and no chocolates. Chocolate is very deadly to those who have skin problems. This type of diet brought my body under control and it put a stop to most of my skin problems. From about age 20 to the present my skin has been very clear. But all during this time from when I was a little boy to the present I have always drank my molasses and milk just about every day and sometimes twice a day. Another thing I have eaten all my life was raisins and/or dried fruit. My mother use to tell me that the raisins were rich in iron, potassium and other trace minerals. I have not been to a doctor in a long, long time. I am sure there have been other factors that have kept me from seeing a doctor, but it is a fact that molasses and milk is one of the remedies that has kept me going, and I still drink it regularly to this very day.
       The directions in making molasses and milk is very simple. Many of the brands of molasses that are sold in the stores have a bitter taste to them and if you have given up on molasses and milk because of its bitter taste then I don't blame you for quitting. I too have turned up my nose at the bitter ones. But I have found a brand of molasses that is not bitter. It is called " Grandmas' Molasses " and I have been drinking this brand for twenty years and then some. To 16 fl. ounces of cold milk, add one teaspoon of Grandma's Molasses and stir until the molasses is gone from the bottom. When the amount is just right, the molasses and milk mixed together, the drink will have a natural maple flavor. But when there is too much molasses mixed in the milk, then it doesn't taste so great. If you do get too much molasses in the milk, just add more milk until the drink is just right. When I mix molasses and milk, I just dump some in, about a teaspoon amount, then I stir and drink. I never measure it. If I put too much, I just add more milk. I most generally will drink my molasses and milk whenever I get thirsty for a tall glass of ice cold milk.                                                                                                                                                          
      Should we still drink molasses and milk in our day and age? YES! Molasses and milk with its nine minerals is a Cancer Killer.In other words the drinking of Molasses and Milk will kill cancer cells in your body, and the mineral called manganese, this mineral will kill free radicals. Also the mineral known as Potassium is well known to help lower your blood pressure, and guess what? The Potassium found in molasses is 20 times more then what you would find in any other food. That means that each day you drink a glass of Molasses Milk you are automatically lowering your own blood pressure. Isn't that nice? SO! Enjoy an ice cold glass of molasses and milk today. In the long run you will be glad that you did! Molasses and Milk maybe an old remedy, but it is still a good Remedy.

How To Get More Money Out Of Your Paycheck.

      Many people believe that the more money you make, the better you are, and the farther you will be in life over others. But this is not true.'It's not how much money you make that counts, but how wisely you spend your money and you have learned to live within your means.' In other words you have learned ways to make your paycheck last a lot longer. or you have learned ways to save an extra ten or twenty dollars or maybe even 50 dollars from off your existing paycheck.
      When you do run out of money, never use a credit card as a 2nd paycheck. You are getting yourself into more hot water and you will be a 'worry wort when you have no money to pay off a credit card debt. Do not barrow money from loaning companies. You will have to pay it all back with interest. The whole purpose of this article is to find ways to make your paycheck-STRETCH-or you will find ways to save 20 to 100 dollars from every paycheck.
      I was reading on the internet about a family of six that was struggling with an income of over $250,000.00 a year and they were having problems making ends meet. Holy Cow! I wonder what their problem is. They are making more then a one fourth of a million dollars a year and that is not enough money to live on. They need  to read my rule number one listed below on how to budget your money and live with in your means. All the other suggestions would be a great help also. But they are not the only ones who are struggling. There are many others who are struggling to make it to their next paycheck and they make between $100,000.00 and $200,000.00 every year. Well if you are one of these then read on. What is listed below will be a great help in helping you to save a big bunch of money so that you can live with in your means.
      One day I was talking to a corporate lawyer and I asked him how much money does he make in a years time. I asked him 500,000.00 dollars? He said try two and a half million dollars. I said wow, you must be really out of debt and then some. He said he was so deep in debt that he would never break even. I told him that even with all the overtime I have worked over the years I have never made more then 25,000 dollars a year gross and yet I was completely out of debt even though I have raised a large family. My house is paid for and I own my car and my pick-up truck. So again I repeat myself: "It does not matter how much money you make, but how wisely you spend what little you do make is what really counts." Or how to make your paycheck-STRETCH-so it will last longer.
      Below are several suggestions that will help you save an extra 20 to 100 dollars or more from off of each paycheck. If it helped me I know it will help you.

      1. Buy a Journal or a notebook and write down everything you have spent from each paycheck. You need to be honest with yourself and write everything down. Like gas money, utility bills, mortgage payments, car payments, snacks and pop, doctor and dentist bills, for beer and tobacco, for eating out, for the toys you buy to make yourself happy and the list goes on and on. Again I say " be honest with yourself and write everything down." When you start to run out of money you look back at your list to find out where you could cut back. Perhaps eating out could be twice a month instead of 6 of 8 times a month. Right there that will save you 100 dollars or more a month. Do not buy snacks and pop as often and chew gum or eat sunflower seeds instead. Or carry a bottle of water around to drink when ever you get thirsty. This could save you an extra 40 or 50 dollars a month. Already you have saved yourself almost 150 dollars a month. But spend that 100 dollars wisely. Put that extra money into the bank and start a savings program. Then one day when you need some money for home repairs or car parts you can barrow from yourself, your savings program, and then slowly put that money back into the bank.
      2. Never use a credit card as a second paycheck. Or never use a credit card unless you already have money in the bank to pay for your credit card bill. If you follow this rule you will never have to pay interest on your credit card providing that you pay the monthly credit card bill on time. If you do not feel comfortable in using a Credit Card then get rid of them. They will do you more harm then good.
      3. Turn off your water heater tank when you are not using it. Our water heater goes on and off  several times a week. By doing so you will save yourself an extra 20 to 30 dollars a month on your electric or gas bill. Try it. It will save you money.
      4. I go by houses all the time at night and some people must have every light on in their house. When you leave a room turn off the light. Putting a sign above the light, to turn off the light, will help children and others to get into the habit. Use only the lights that you need and leave the rest of them off. Also turn off the TV. when no one is watching it. Some people leave it on all day long, and that is not the thing to do. A TV will use a fair amount of energy if left on all day long. By following these rules you could save over 10 dollars a month. Also if you could put your refrigerator or freezer in a cool place like on your back porch, or in the garage, or in the basement, it wouldn't have to be running all the time as it would sitting inside a warm house. This will also save you a bundle of money.
      5. If there is any way you could ride the buss to work or ride in a car pool, this will save you money on gas and wear and tear on your car. Depending on how far you have to travel to and from work, riding the buss could save you from one to two hundred dollars a month. Also when ever you could walk or ride a bike rather then use your car, this could save you up to 10 dollars or more a month.
      6. Being that I have raised a large family, I would buy food by the case when it came on sale. This will save you a bunch of money. Start a years supply of food and add to it when ever a case lot sale would take place. The money you have put in your savings account could be used also for these case lot sales.Do not buy food at it's regular cost at the store unless you have to.
      7. Grow a garden. This could save you over 1000.00 dollars on your yearly food bill. Most foods are easy to grow and libraries will generally have lots of books on how to grow a garden or you could talk to some of your neighbors. Most of them will gladly come to your house and will help you to get started. The worse part of growing a garden is keeping the garden weed free. The weeds will steal the nutrients from out of the soil and if the weeds get out of hand they can retard the growth of the other garden plants.So throughout the whole summer it is very important to get out in your garden and...hoe...hoe...hoe. One thing about growing a garden you can put leaves all over the carrots and beets so they will not freeze in the winter. So when ever you need carrots or beets in the winter you just go out and dig them up. Would you believe that my wife and I have not bought carrots from the store in over thirty years.       8. A lot of people out there are either buying or leasing a car and they are paying from 100 to 400 dollars a month. I have never done this. I have always bought used cars and I would borrow from my savings account. Then I would slowly put money back into my savings. I have never paid interest on any of my cars. If you do not have a savings program get one going this weekend. Buying used cars and not paying interest will save you tons of money. But if you would rather spend 400 hundred a month plus then go for it.
      9. There are thrift stores in every city. Goodwill Industries, Somebody's Attic, some churches have thrift stores or you could go to one of the many garage sales that take place almost every weekend. I say this because you could visit some of these places and buy nice 2nd hand clothes, videos, DVD's, books and small appliances that work like new. Even some clothes look like new and you only pay a fraction of the price compared to the new clothes. Look at all the money you would save at Christmas time if you bought most of your gifts at a thrift store. I do buy new stuff but I also buy a lot from the thrift stores. If you look at my wife and I and our kids, we are all dressed just as nice as everyone else.
     10. Invest some money in a wheat grinder and buy whole grains in 25 or 50 pound bags. This could be wheat, rice, buckwheat, millet seed, sorghum, spelt or barley. You can make healthy homemade bread by following the instructions in a cookbook. You could make over 100 loaves of bread with a 50 pound bag of wheat or you could make over 1000 pancakes. A 50 pound bag of wheat will cost only 15 to 20 dollars. If you grind this grain into cereal using a coffee grinder, you could eat fresh hot cereal for only 15 cents a bowl. To make this hot cereal taste good, add a few sprinkles of salt, some butter, brown sugar according to your taste, a few drops of vanilla and/or maple flavoring, a handful of raisins, some cinnamon, some milk, and some vanilla ice cream if you have some. The instructions for making the hot cereal is very simple. Grind up fine in a coffee grinder 3  cups of grain.What ever you have left over of this ground up grain can be put into the frig for another day. Boil a pan of water and add a few sprinkles of salt. Using a wire whisk and pouring the ground up cereal slowly into the pan until it begins to thicken then put your heat on low and stir the cereal for 40 or 50 seconds. Turn off your stove and put the cereal into bowls then add all the goodies to make it taste good. Children will even eat it and enjoy it when you add all the above goodies, ice cream and candy cookie chips, or m&m candies. Any of the fresh grain cereals when eaten, they will kill cancer cells in your body.
     11. Buying new tires for your car or truck could cost you 800 to 1200 dollars or more. But there are used tire outlets all around the world where you could pay 150 to 250 dollars for a nice set of four tires. so why pay more when you really don't have to. I see tires for sale at yard sales. Keep your eyes open and you will see some good deals. Also many gas stations will sale you their used tires for real cheap.
     12. Fasting is good for your body. It gives the body a rest from it's everyday use. A fast could be going without food and water for 24 hours. Some people fast for only two meals. Others fast by eating no foods but they still drink the liquids. Some people fast once a week and others fast once or twice a month. After you have fasted, then you figure out how much money you have saved by not eating food and you put that money into a savings account. Or you can do like some of the rest of us. We will take that money and buy food with it and give it to the poor and needy. By doing so you will enjoy a sense of peace that others will never feel....and I kid you not.

      Some people will run to the doctor for every little ache and pain they have. Would you believe about 80%  of the people who go to doctors, there is really nothing wrong with them. I have had several doctors tell me this. A lot of people think they are sick when they are really not. A lot of sicknesses can be cured at home, and by doing so look at all the money you would have saved and that money would not have ended into a DOCTOR'S  POCKET!!!!
      Many power companies will offer a special rate program where the customer will pay a lower rate on their electric bill if they live by the company's rules. For instance most people who are on the regular rate will wash and dry their clothes on any day of the week. On the special rate program you will pay more money if you wash and dry on the week days but on the other hand if you would wash or run most of your power equipment on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, you will save yourself a bundle of money while those who are on the higher rate are paying a lot more then you are. The only draw back that there is if you were to wash on the week days, you will pay a higher rate then those on the regular rate program. My wife and I have been on this low rate program for over 20 years and if you can live by their rules, you will save a lot of money, yes, a big bunch of money. That is why our refrigerator and freezer sits on our back porch because it uses a lot less energy then it would if it was sitting in a warm house.
      If you are also interested in a program like what is listed above, contact your local Power Company and see what they have to offer. If they have no such program then see if you can get one going. Most Power Companies are more then willing to work something out with you.

      Some people believe in coupons as a way to save money, but this program doesn't seem to work for me. When case lots sales come up we are always looking at the best deals and the major brands are most generally not a part of this program. Most coupons are centered around the major or the more popular brands that are sold on the market. But I do know a lot of people who are sold on the coupon program and it does save them a lot of money. If this program works for you and coupons do save you a bunch of money, then go for it. I do use the coupons when they are in my favor but over all I am not crazy about the coupon program like others are.


      I hope this information will help you to save money, and to make that paycheck-STRETCH-a little bit farther today then it did yesterday. Again I repeat myself that it matters not on how much money you make in a years time that is of importance, but how wisely you spend your hard earned cash and you have learn to live with in your means. If I can live off of $25,000.00 a year with a family of 11 persons with no problems, then YOU should be able to live off of more then $100,000.00 with a family of 6 or 7 and still make ends meet.       By the way, even though I only made 25,000 dollars a year the program listed up above has got me completely out of debt. I own my house. I own my car and truck. I am able to pay all my taxes with no problems and I have money in the bank that will help me through those rainy days that come and go but this program does help me to overcome my everyday problems. I am smiling because I am on the top of my problems. I am worry-free.    Woopeeee!!!!

The Spice Called Tumeric

     This comes from a plant that grows in China and India and it is used much in cooking. It is bright yellow and it could stain your clothes.If you mix turmeric with water and put this on your hair followed by vinegar, it will give you some beautiful golden yellow hair that will last you a month or two.    
     Turmeric has an organic chemical compound called 'curcumin'. This substance has several medical properties if turmeric was taken internally. These medical properties are as follows:
  1. Turmeric will prevent tumor cells from growing in your body.  
  2. It is a cancer fighter for several types of cancer.      
  3. It  is good for arthritis pains.                                                             
  4. It aids digestion.                                                                                
  5. It is good for your bones.                                                                    
  6. It prevents infections.                                                     
  7. It gets rid of bad cholesterol.                                                  
  8. It increases blood circulation.                                       
  9. It reduces pain and inflammation.                                  
  10. If black pepper is mixed half and half with turmeric it will double the medical properties of curcumin.
  11. Turmeric protects and strengthens the liver.        
  12. Turmeric improves the function of the brain.   
 The side effects from using turmeric are as follows:
  1. Turmeric in your body will weaken radiation treatments that is given for cancer.       
  2. Turmeric can cause contractions in pregnant women.                        
  3. Do not mix aspirin and turmeric together. It could damage your liver. But by itself turmeric is good for the liver.                                                                   
  4. You should not take turmeric if you have a bad gallbladder.        
  5. Turmeric is not good for diabetics because it causes low blood sugar.      
  6. Again I repeat. Turmeric is not good for pregnant women.  
     Turmeric is not a -HOT- spice. It is very mild. Turmeric does have a strong flavor and if too much is put into your food it will dominate the flavor giving your food a turmeric taste. It tastes just like it smells and there is nothing else that I can compare it to as far as the taste of another food.  
     I will add one fourth of a teaspoon to my juices, molasses milk, hot cocoa, hot oatmeal cereal, pancake batter and a large pot of mashed potatoes. These last two the turmeric will give them a golden yellow buttery look to them. Remember use only a little bit of turmeric. Too much will give your food a turmeric taste. As far as other foods and turmeric just use your imagination and have lots of fun in the kitchen.

Remedies For Bad Breath That Really Work.

     Everyone has bad breath at some time or another and it is very bothersome to all of us when we are around other people, and you know they can smell your breath.  Or on the other hand, someone else has bad breath, and they are standing in front of you talking to you with an almost poopy smell coming out of their mouth, and it is almost gagging everyone who has to smell it.  You all know what I mean, and of course we all wonder is there a remedy so that your breath will smell sweet for several hours.
     There are a lot of mouthwashes, and gargles on the market, but they only make your breath smell good for only 10 or 15 minutes, and then your breath is back to that poopy smell.  I remember as a child that many of those mouthwashes had a sweet soda pop like taste to them.  My mom bought two of them quite often.  One had a bubblegum taste to it, and the other had a cinnamon flavor.  They were more "yummy for my tummy" than that of curing bad breath.  I remember also how yummy the wild cherry Vick's cough syrup tasted.
     Many people would carry peppermint, cinnamon flavored candy and/or gum to somewhat freshen their breath, but you have to be eating the candy or gum all day long. I remember my grandparents giving us kids a square piece of gum for bad breath called Chicklets, or they would give us a white piece of narrow mouth mint I think it was called Zin-Zins or they would give us small piece of Dentyene  Gum. I don't think any of these products exist anymore.
     The remedy is actually very simple, and most of you have some of this stuff on your kitchen shelf.  Before you leave your house when you know you will be around other people, brush your mouth out with any kind of toothpaste.  While the toothpaste is still in your mouth, dip your tooth brush into some Baking Soda. It is best to dump some into a small container and leave that in your bathroom just for brushing your teeth.  After you put some baking soda on your brush, scrub this all over the inside of your mouth.  Brush all your gums, the top of your mouth, and then you brush your tongue: on the top, the sides, and underneath.  Then you rinse your mouth out with water.  I guarantee that you will not have bad breath for several hours, and your breath will smell sweet.  I know this works because I do it myself, and it works better than any mouth wash, or breath mint that may be sold on the marked.  I have used this many times, and it does work, and it will work for you also.  Isn't that nice?  No more poopy breath!  Thank Goodness!
 

      By the way, you can also dump some baking soda into your shoes if you have stinky feet.  It will also make your feet smell sweet.  It is also great to put some under your arms, or in your arm pits, or Powder your whole body with Baking Soda after you get out of the shower. This will make you smell clean and fresh all day long even in hot weather.

Magnets Will Help Our Bodies.

     There are a lot of stories out there where people are claiming that the use of magnets have done some wonderful things for them.  The purpose of this article is to inform you of some of these stories and as to what magnets have been used for in making life more pleasant and enjoyable.  Please read the following information and then you can be the judge and jury to decide as to whether magnets can be of help to you also.
     Since this earth was created, to it's present time, or the time in which we now live, the air we breath has been polluted time and time again by poisonous gases all over the world.  It has been from manufacturing companies, steel mills, forest fires, automobile exhaust, nuclear bomb testings, chemical explosions, and the list goes on and on.  Why are we still alive?  We should be dead!  Many of us are sick on a regular basis because of the polluted air. But we all keep plugging at it hoping that tomorrow will be a better day.
     Well, whoever created this earth eons ago, was very wise because they created a magnetic force between the north and south pole.  This magnetic force is a natural neutralizer.  In other words, the molecules in the air that we breath, even though it is chuck full of poisonous gases, these molecules are being neutralized from the magnetic forces between the north and the south pole.  And guess what?  These magnetic forces are busy doing their thing for 24 hours a day, everyday of the year.  This magnetic machine works on it's own for eons of time with no maintenance problems.
     When Abraham and his wife Sarah from the Old Testament spent over 17 years in Egypt, not only was Abraham a Mathematician, but he was also an astronomer.  The scientists in Egypt were really impressed with the knowledge Abraham possessed, and he shared that knowledge with them.  At that time, there were no pyramids in Egypt, and it is believed that with Abraham's knowledge and with the help of the Egyptians, they began with the building of the pyramid of Giza.  After Abraham left Egypt, they finished the Pyramid of Giza and then built two more pyramids.  Because Abraham started the first pyramid (Giza), it was built on magnetic north.  The other two pyramids are built on true north.  As a result, the pyramid of Giza is holding the fertile Nile Valley under a magnetic force.  If you look at any modern day map of Egypt showing the fertile Nile Valley, it's boundaries make almost a perfect 90 degree angle, and at the southern most tip or point sits the pyramid of Giza.  So Abraham, in building this pyramid of Giza, has been a great benefit to the Egyptians all of these years.  The pyramid of Giza is more deteriorated than the other two, and the modern day generation wants to tear this pyramid down and replace it with a new one.  But the old wise men of Egypt say:  "No!  You cannot do this.  If you tear down the pyramid of Giza, the Nile Valley will go back to being a dessert.  It would be wiser to let it stand for a few more thousand years."  Maybe this is all a bunch of  baloney, and we just don't know it. But yet at the same time these old wise men highly respect this unexplained power that the Pyramid of Giza is producing and they know that this force is making the Nile Valley one of the most productive valleys in the world, when it should be all dessert.
     The pyramid of Giza has been a mystery for thousands of years.  There is a story many years ago of 3 Americans who went to Egypt to explore the pyramid of Giza.  Each one of them had a knapsack with 3 days of food in them, and 3 canteens full of water.  They got inside and got lost, and they couldn't find a way back out.  They found plenty of water, and they did not get hungry very often.  Through their wanderings in this pyramid, they figured they could not have been in that pyramid for more than 3 weeks.  But when they finally found an opening to get back out, 25 years of earth time had gone by.  They said:  "No way that we were in there for 25 years!  That is not possible! ".
      The US Military has built and used the Delta T Antenna for a lot of their secret projects. This Antenna runs on the same magnetic force that comes from the Pyramid of Giza. It is made up of two pyramids that are patterned after Giza. One points towards the sky and the other points towards the ground. The Delta T Antenna was used for time and dimension experiments done by US Scientist. Those scientist who have been around the Delta T Antenna when it was in operation, they claim the magnetic force coming from the antenna will sharpen your brain to where you can think more accurately. You can solve math problems so much better after being next to a Delta T Antenna. I need to build one of these antennas in my backyard. There is one word of Caution if you decided to build one of these Antennas in your backyard. Do not be near the Delta T during a thunder storm or else a bolt of lighting might put you into another Dimension. The scientists who builds these antennas seemed very serous about this Caution. Maybe one of them did disappear for real during a thunder storm.
     I use to work with a man who was a magnetic scientist, and he was known by others as the "Magnet Man".  He told me that he strongly believed that if you were to build a double mirrored pyramid after the same pattern as the pyramid of Giza, and make it big enough to live in, he strongly believed that once you are inside, time will stand still.  He asked me if I as interested in joining him in his project.  I told him I was married and had a family, and I owned property, and he did not.  So I told him it just would not work for me.  That was over ten years ago, and I use to see him a lot after he made me the offer, but I have not seen him for a long, long time.  I wonder if he is now sitting in that double mirrored pyramid, staying in the present, while the rest of us are going into the future. I hope he comes to see me when he gets out of that doubled mirrored pyramid. Of course if his experiment does work I may have become a great-great grandfather before I kicked the bucket while he will still be a young man. Maybe I should have joyed him in his project.
     He told me this story about magnets, and I was impressed, so I'm passing this story onto you the reader.  "A lady who smoked 3 packs of cigarettes a day got sick, and went to see a doctor.  He told her she had lung cancer really bad, and there was nothing he could do for her.  He gave her maybe two months more to live.  He said even if she quit smoking, it wouldn't help her.  This lady did not want to die, nor did she want to give up her smoking.  So she went to the magnet man who was her friend and asked what he would suggest.  He told her that she needed to quit smoking right now if she wanted to live longer.  She asked if the magnets could help her, and what would he suggest for her to do.  He told her to find a record player that turns the 78 speed and put a record on it with button magnets, and let these magnets spin at the 78 speed.  He told her to sit by the spinning magnets as much as possible throughout the whole day, and if she could not give up her smoking, she was to placer her packets of smokes by the spinning magnets for 24 hours before smoking them.  He told her to think positive that the spinning magnets will make her normal again.  So she followed the Magnet Man's instructions and six months later she went back to the doctor.  An exam showed that the cancer was completely gone from her body, and the doctor asked if she had given up her smoking.  She told him about the spinning magnets, and he laughed at her and told her the magnets were a bunch of hooey.  He said that according to God, it wasn't her time to die.
     I look at this story as a possibility because the magnets are doing their job of turning negatives into positives, but I too would have told the lady that she needs to quit smoking.  The smoking of 3 packs a day is probably what started the cancer in the first place.  But I will also look at this story and say that if the magnets got rid of the cancer in a smoker, then it should do wonders to cancer patients who do not smoke.

     One comment I would like to say about these spinning  magnets, in my opinion it is like finding the Fountain of Youth. These spinning magnets are turning negatives into positives and at the same time they are putting molecules into a dormant state. If we were to put these spinning magnets turning in our bedrooms every night, it would relax our bodies and put them into a dormant state to where our bodies will not age all night long. These is what the magnetic force will do for you. But in order to stop your aging process you have to spin those magnets every night as you sleep and you need to think positive that these magnets are doing their job. My wife and I sleep by these spinning magnets every night and if we are still alive in 50 years from now, I guess I will have to say  " I told you so! ".      I have had a irregular hart beat ever since I was a child.  There are lots of pauses between the thumps, and the thump-thumps.  Every doctor who listens to my heart will tell me that there is something really wrong with my heart to beat that way.  But I don't get dizzy, and I rarely get sick, and I have not been to a doctor in a long, long time.  I read in a book a long time ago that you should never put magnets next to your heart.  My line of thinking was that if magnets were a natural tuning device, then it should be a help to my heart.  So I began wearing magnets next to my heart, and guess what?  My heart would beat more normally than it did irregularly. So from that time forth, whenever I had a pocket on my shirt, I would wear a magnet next to my heart.
     There are companies out there that make magnetic articles for your every need and each company will tell you how it all works and how their product can help you.  There are magnetic mattresses, belts, back braces, knee and leg braces, shoulder and arm braces.  There are magnetic headbands that will prevent headaches.  There are magnetic bands for your fingers, wrist, arms and legs that will help to decrease pain.  They put magnetic linings in your clothes so that just about any part of your body can have the benefits of a magnet.  They even make a small machine that spins magnets real fast and you can take the machine where ever you go.
     Another story I wish to say about the magnetic forces.  For people who have built gazebos in their back yards, just for fun some would put on a 4 sided pyramid roof that sat on magnetic north.  These people claim that when you store last year's garden seed in the roof of the gazebo all winter, the next year's crop from those seeds grew more healthier plants with larger fruits that were sweeter and tastier than what the regular seeds could produce.
     Also, magnetic forces are also collected in cone shaped objects.  That is why witches and wizards would wear a cone shaped hat.  The magnetic forces would sharpen the brain of anyone who wore those hats.  On many of the castes built in the past, you would see cone shape roofs above many of the upper rooms, and most generally the royal families would sleep in these rooms.  The magnetic forces that was collected in the roofs was suppose to make the royal family rule wisely and to live longer than everyone else.
      Anyone can create a magnetic force in your own home that could be an all around Medical Machine turning negatives into positives and I do believe that this Machine  would play a major impact in helping us to not only overcome Cancer but it will also help us to overcome most of common diseases that we all seem to face. Buy an old record player that spins at the 78 speed. Put an old LP record on it that has button magnets glued all over it and then spin it thus creating your own Magnetic Force. If you can not find an old player a window fan will work also. Super Glue about three button magnets at end of each fan blade in the same position as the others so the blade will remain balanced, then spin it thus creating a Magnetic Force.
