      A man from my home town lived passed 100 years and on his 100th birthday, newspaper reporters asked him what his secret was into living so long. He said:  " I eat 2 bananas everyday. They are natures vitamin pills ".

The juice from the peels are soothing to minor burns and a cut piece of the peel tapped over the burn will help it to heal.
      Believe it or not. because Bananas are rich in Fiber the eating of Bananas will help you to over come both diarrhea and constipation, and if you are eating Bananas on a regular bases the Banana will protect you from having either one of these. This is not a 100% guarantee. Everybody has a different diet and all of us could still get Diarrhea or Constipation but the eating of Bananas will certainly be a big help. Besides being good for your Heart and lowering your Blood Pressure, Bananas will also help to make strong bones in your body. Get Rid Of Kidney Stones-And This Cure Really Does Work !

      Every Adult can get kidney Stones. DOCTORS HAVE NO CURE FOR KIDNEY STONES. They will tell you to take a hot bath to relax the body and this hot bath will help the Kidney Stones to come out of the body. The Kidney stones are crystals with points and sharp edges. They come in many different sizes but yet they are too small to see with the eye. When they come out you will really know because they hurt like crazy.
      My wife and I are both over 60 years old and we have been taking the cure for over 20 years. We have never passed a Kidney Stone. My parents have been using the cure since the 1960's and clear up to the day that they died they never passed any Kidney Stones.
      Believe it or not the cure to get rid of Kidney Stones is very simple and I just can not believe why Doctors will not use this cure and it does work. The cure is to drink a cold glass of water with a tablespoon of organic apple cider vinegar. Regular apple cider vinegar will work also if you are unable to buy " Braggs Organic Vinegar ".
      Why does this cure work ?  Well apple cider vinegar will get rid of all the crystals in the body. Or you might say that the crystals will all disappear. In other words if you are drinking vinegar and water on a regular bases you will not have any Kidney Stones, you will not have any Gallbladder Stones and you will not suffer from gout. Gout is when crystals form on the bottom of your feet and it is very painful to walk on them. A lady that I worked with told me that her husband has had Gout for ten years and that doctor's medicines was not helping him. To my suggestion she began to giving her husband the vinegar and water and in just three days the pain was gone out of his feet. He could now walk pain free the first time in ten years.
      The taking of vinegar and water does have it's side effects but they are positive side effects. Apple cider vinegar will soften your arteries and it will naturally open up your arteries providing you with better circulation. In other words if you had high blood pressure the vinegar and water will begin to lower your blood pressure in just 12 hours. Is that not great news ? Vinegar will also kill free radicals. It will kill Cancer cells in your body. It will slow down your aging process and you will not have wrinkles on your face when you get older.
      In the 1960's my parents read a book called " Folk Medicine " and it talks about the benefits of drinking apple cider vinegar mixed in water and sweetened with honey. They use to give this to us also when we were children and it had the taste of  " Aged Apple Cider ".  Because my Mom took this on a regular daily bases, the funeral directors said that my Mom had the face of a 40 year old when she died. They said there was not a wrinkle anywhere on her face. Like I said up above my Mom and Dad never passed a Kidney Stone while they were living.
      There is one word of Caution !!!!!  Do Not Drink Milk After You Drink The Vinegar And Water. These two will sour in your stomach and make you sick. Do not eat any pickled foods followed by milk. THE INTAKE OF MILK AND VINEGAR PRODUCTS WILL MAKE YOU SICK.
      Like I have already said, Doctors have no cures for Kidney Stones and these stones are painful when they leave our system. But when a person drinks a glass of cold water and a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar it will make all your Kidney Stones disappear and you will never have to worry about passing Kidney Stones ever again !!!!

                                    1. Uncle Bob's Famous 2-3-4 Hamburger.

      Have you ever noticed that when you fry a hamburger it is smaller then when you first started. When you do a 2-3-4 Hamburger, it is nice and juicy, it is cooked all the way through, and it is the same size as what you started with. First of all, using ground beef, make a hamburger as big as you like with your hands. Then put this hamburger into a sandwich bag and put that onto a plate. Put the burger into the microwave oven and set it for 2-3-4 or for 2 minutes and 34 seconds. When it is done, carefully pull it out of the sandwich bag. It is very Hot so do not burn yourself. Put the burger on a paper towel to get rid of some of the grease and then put it on your bun. There are two ways that I eat my hamburger. The traditional way by adding salt and pepper to the burger and then you add mustard, ketchup and a pickle relish. Then you add a slice of tomato, a slice of onion and a crisp lettuce leaf. It is now ready to eat. A second way that I eat my burger is to put Miracle Whip on both sides of a toasted bun. Then you add a slice of tomato, a slice of onion, a slice of mild Cheddar Cheese and a crisp lettuce leaf. This is really a yummy burger !!

                                   2. A Butter And Black Pepper Sandwich.

      When I first heard of this I thought it was going to taste yucky. But it turned out to be very tasty. This recipe works best if you are using French Bread. Cut yourself two slices of French Bread and spread some real butter onto them. Put them into the microwave oven for 30 seconds and then add Black Pepper to them. Somehow the real butter and the black pepper has a different but pleasant taste. You have got to try this. It is really good. It is not Hot to eat but it does have a Black Pepper taste, and it is very yummy !!

                                  3. Try A Peanut Butter And Lettuce Sandwich.

      As kids we enjoyed eating peanut butter on celery sticks, or a common snack that we ate when we got home from school was to break off a piece from a lettuce head and eat it with peanut butter on it. Oh does that taste good together. When my Mom would fix us sandwiches for school they were most generally peanut butter and jelly, egg salad, tuna fish, boloney, lunch meat or a peanut butter and lettuce sandwich. We also often ate the peanut butter and lettuce sandwich as an after school snack. Put Peanut Butter onto both slices of bread and add 4 to 6 crisp lettuce leaves. You just can not believe how good this does taste, and it is very healthy to eat.

                          4. Uncle Bob's Most Famous Mashed Potatoes----Yummy !!

      In this recipe I use real potatoes. I peel the potatoes, cut them up into small pieces and boil them for 12 to 15 minutes or until you can poke a fork into them. I will pour the Hot water down the drain and use a potato masher. Some people would rather use an electric beater but I use a masher. After they are mashed add a cube of real butter for 6 to 8 people or for 12 or more people put in 2 cubes of butter. After the butter has melted and it has been mashed into the potatoes then add milk. I'll usually put a cup or more of milk altogether. But I will add a little bit at a time until I get the fluffiness that I desire in the mashed potatoes. Now it is ready for salt. Sprinkle a bunch in the potatoes and mash it in then taste it. Add more salt and mash it some more and again taste it. You keep doing this until the potatoes taste just right. Now you add the pepper and mash it in. You keep doing this until the pepper taste just right. The Real Butter and the Black Pepper will give your potatoes a different but excellent flavor. It is now ready to put onto the table. Some of the extras that you add to your potatoes are: more butter, sour cream, bacon bits, fried hamburger or sausage, frozen peas that have been warmed, chopped onion, corn or a combination of these additives. Then you add your favorite gravy. My favorite is country gravy. Then you sprinkle shredded mild cheddar cheese on the gravy. Some may say this is very fattening and I will say, yes it is, but you are only eating it every once in a while so why not enjoy it. And believe me these Mashed Potatoes are really----Yummy !!!!

                                              5. Num-Num Milk.

      I am sure that others have also made this but they have a different name for it. This is one drink that kids really love and also the adults and it is very easy to make. Put some milk into a 16 fl. oz. cup and add one teaspoons of sugar. Stir this well and add 3 or 4 drops of vanilla flavoring. Sprinkle cinnamon on the top and stir again. It is now ready to drink. Other flavors could also be used like maple, orange, cherry, strawberry, coconut, butterscotch or almond just to name a few. If you really want to buff it up add  some vanilla ice cream and turn it into a milk shake----Yummy !!!!

                                             6. Molasses And Milk.

      This is a drink that my Grandmother received from her Grandmother and where it all began who knows. This drink has 9 minerals and vitamin B-6. It is very rich in Potassium. In fact the Potassium is 20% higher in molasses then any other food. Potassium will lower your blood pressure and the drinking of molasses and milk with it's 9 minerals will kill Cancer cells in your body. Grandma's Molasses is my favorite brand because it is not bitter as some of the other molasses are.
      It is very simple to make Molasses and Milk. Put ice cold milk into a 16 fl. oz. glass and add one teaspoon of " Grandma's Molasses " and stir until the molasses is gone from the bottom. I never measure it. I just dump some molasses in and stir. If it taste too strong then I add more milk. When it is just right it has a natural maple flavor to it. I drink molasses and milk about 300 times a year.

                                       7. Uncle Bob's Basic Pancake Mix.

      This is a Pancake Mix that I invented ever since I began living on my own. It is made from the basics, and it is filling and it is a good tasting pancake. Most people use water to make their pancake batter but not me. I always use milk. The recipe is very simple. To one cup of flour add one egg. If you have plenty of eggs then use two eggs. Add a tablespoon of vegetable oil, a tablespoon of sugar and a level teaspoon of baking powder. Add a half teaspoon each of vanilla and maple flavorings. Then add a level teaspoon of cinnamon. A hand full of raisins can also be added if you like them. Then add milk until your batter becomes nice and creamy or runny enough to dump into a pan to make pancakes. Be sure to add vegetable oil into your pan before pouring the pancake batter into the pan and cook this on low heat until they are a pretty brown on each side. Just before they are done I always mash mine down with the spatula to make sure there is no runny batter inside the cake. I will put them on a plate and melt real butter on the cakes and eat them with pancake syrup. Or you could add corn syrup and add a few drops of your favorite flavor. In this way you can make a whole bunch of different flavored syrups. I also enjoy frozen jellies and whipped cream on my pancakes.
      This recipe makes about 3 or 4 large pancakes or 6 smaller ones. This is a yummy and a very filling pancake, So enjoy yourself with a great tasting pancake.

                                    8. Uncle Bob's Hot Oatmeal Cereal.

      Most people hate hot lumpy mushy Oatmeal Cereal. My children have brought their friends home and when I made Oatmeal Cereal these friends would turn their nose up at it and tell me that they hate Oatmeal Cereal. But after they had tried mine they would be asking for seconds.
      So how do I make my Oatmeal taste so yummy ?  First of all I use Quick-Oats. In my book the old fashion Oatmeal was made for horses and not for people. It is way too tough to eat. First of all I will boil a pan of water and then using a wire-whisk or a serving spoon I'll pour in the Quick-Oats and stir it with a spoon. I never measure the Oatmeal. When it starts to get thick I quit pouring it in and I never cook it for more then 60 seconds. When it is done remove it from the heat and sprinkle some salt into it so it will not have a flat taste. Put about a half of a cube of butter into the cereal and stir until it is melted. Then add brown sugar until it is as sweet as you like it. Then add a few drops of each of both vanilla and maple flavorings. I then sprinkle some cinnamon into it and I will also add some chocolate chips and or raisins if you like them. If I have M and M candies I will use them instead of the chocolate chips. Last of all you add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to your bowl of Oatmeal if you have any. This is a great tasting Oatmeal Cereal even if you have no chocolate chips or raisins in it. and kids always ask for more. Of course we always put milk into our cereal so it will have a creamy look to it.

                                9. Uncle Bob's Dish Of Elbow Macaroni.

      When I began to live on my own I would fix myself a simple dish of Elbow Macaroni and eat this with a bowl of salad, The dish of Macaroni is easy to make and it is surprisingly tasty to eat. Boil a pan on the stove and add a little bit of salt to it. While it is boiling add the Macaroni as much as you and or others wish to eat. Cook the Macaroni long enough to where you can poke a fork into it. Turn off the heat and carefully drain the hot water down into the sink. Then dump the Macaroni into a large bowl. While it is very hot add one fourth of a cube of real butter and stir the butter well into the Macaroni until the butter is all melted. Then add salt and pepper until it tastes just right. This is really good food and you can eat it with any salad.
      You can eat the Macaroni as is or you could mix other foods with the Macaroni. I will add any of the following to make it a tasty dish. Hot frozen peas, raw celery that has been cubed, chopped up boiled eggs, chopped up raw onions and or green bell peppers, cooked hamburger or sausage and sour cream and or your favorite salad dressing could be added. Any of these extras will make the Macaroni taste good but my favorite dish is the Macaroni with real butter and salt and pepper.
      The Macaroni that is left over, put it in the fridge for another day as leftovers. For breakfast I will put the leftover Macaroni into a fry pan and fry scrambled eggs with it. I will add chopped onions ,green peppers, celery, sausage and or bacon bits. You just can not believe how good this will taste.
      We will also add the Elbow Macaroni to the Chili that we are about to eat and stir it in. This is called  " Chili Mac " and it is very good to eat. Chili Mac has been a family traditional meal for as long as I can remember.

                                                 10. Left Over White Rice.

      For both Dinner and or Supper many people will cook up some White Rice and they will use this instead of using Egg Noodles, and there are many kinds, or Potatoes. They would fix up the White Rice and make it a yummy dish of food, the same as they would have done to the Noodles or the Potatoes. Or they will make a Soy Sauce additive with vegetables and they will dump this onto the White Rice. The left over White Rice is either put into the frig or it is thrown away. In our house the White Rice in placed in the frig to be used as Dessert for another time. It is never thrown away.
      We will pull the White Rice out of the frig and we will make a traditional Dessert out of it. We will heat up White Rice until it gets hot and then we will add real butter to the hot Rice and stir it in well. Then we will add Brown Sugar to sweeten it. Then we will add just little bit of salt, a few drops of Vanilla flavoring and sprinkle on some ground up Cinnamon. This taste really good the way it is or you could add a bit of real cream or raisins, whipped cream and or a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream. Oh you can not believe how good this Dessert is and it was made from the left over rice.

12 Simple Remedies For Acne.

      Acne is a Skin Disease that is common among teenagers. Adults have Acne also but generally it is not as bad as what the younger generation may suffer from it. I had Acne really bad for about seven years and I had it under control before I turned 18 years old. I had very oily skin and I suffered from several shin diseases pretty much all the same time. Those were Boils all over the body, Impetigo, Hives and puss pockets forming all over the body and my ear lobes. The Acne was all over my face, my neck, my chest and back. I was an ugly mess for a long time. I had only a few friends and the girls wanted nothing to do with me. Those were lonely years and my two best friends was my mother and a dog who couldn't care how I looked. When it was all over, I had scares or little pits all over my face. As I got older the scares somewhat disappeared. After 20 years old up to the age that I am now, my skin has been very clear. Thank goodness no more pimples. I do still get Boils maybe one or two of them every spring but that is all.
      My Mom took me to several different Doctors but none of their Drugs would help me. When I turned 16 years old my Mom took me to a German Doctor who put me on a special diet. He believed that a lot of the foods I was eating were reacting negatively on my body. He said those foods were poisonous to me. I was to eat no sugar but I could have Honey or artificial sweeteners. I could not eat any oily or greasy foods. I could not eat ice cream, cheese, cottage cheese, peanut butter or any form of chocolate. I could eat all the fruits and vegetables that I wanted and in the way of meats I could only eat beef, chicken, turkey and fish. I could also eat all the dried fruits that I wanted. After 6 months my skin everywhere became all clear. The pimples were all gone. I stayed on this diet for a whole year and the Acne never reappeared, except for a pimple every once in a while.
      If you are suffering from Acne right now there are some Remedies that can be very helpful but none of these will clear up your skin over night. But you could see some excellent results in two or more weeks. Hang in there and we will see what can be done.

 1. You could try the diet that is listed up above. Hey it really worked for me and I had one of the worst cases of Acne that the Doctors had ever seen, and I do not have Acne anymore.

 2. After you have washed your face with soap and water, break open an egg and separates the yolk from the egg white. Dip a cotton ball into the egg white and rub this on your pimples and blackheads. This will draw the oils from off your face and after a time it will give you a clear complexion..

3. Prepared Oatmeal will get rid of Acne. When the cooked Oatmeal has cooled, spread this onto the Acne affected areas and then cover the Oatmeal with a damp wash cloth for 15 minutes, then wash all the Oatmeal off. Do this once a day. Doing this twice a day is even better. After about 3 weeks the Acne will be gone. If you would like to double the Oatmeal effect on your Acne then add a level teaspoon of Baking Soda to the Oatmeal mixture. then sprinkle some cinnamon into the mixture. Both of these will get rid of Acne and make the Remedy smell good.

 4. Pure Lemon Juice will help Acne to heal. But when lemons are not available then use household Apple Cider Vinegar. If you can use both of these then that would even be better. Use a cotton ball and soak it in the vinegar. Then rub it onto each pimple. It will sting at first but after several applications the pimples will all disappear.

 5. Many soaps are hard on sensitive skin and it is especially bad on those who have Acne. One of the best soaps to use on sensitive skin is " Fels-Naptha " soap. This soap does wonders to all kinds of skin blemishes. In fact it is good for your whole body and you will not have itches after a bath. This soap is by far less irritating to your skin then all other soaps.

 6. Take " Zinc Pills " for Acne. Take only 15 mg a day. Do not take any more unless your Doctor OK's it. Zinc Pills will also control body odor so that you will not stink.

 7. A humid climate will generally cause Acne to flair up on your face, neck, back or chest. When I had Acne I was living in Ohio but every time we came out west to one of the drier states, my Acne would clear up in about two weeks. After we had returned to Ohio the Acne would reappear. Any dry area in the world would greatly help in clearing up the Acne. If you are one who already lives in a dry climate and you still have Acne, then you need to change your diet or try one of the other Remedies that are listed.

 8. The oils and dry skin will come off your face at night onto your pillow. So wash the pillow case two or three times a week while you are trying to get rid of your Acne.

 9. There is an advertisement on TV called " Bath Fitter " where they come into your home and change your ugly bathroom into a new and nice looking bathroom. At the end of the advertisement there is a lady sitting on the couch wearing a green face mask. This is called an Avocado Face Mask. This is great for skin blemishes, Acne or making your face soft and beautiful. Buy an Avocado and cut it in half. Throw away the seed and scrape out all the green flesh putting it into a bowl. Mash it up with a fork and add a tablespoon of Honey, a half teaspoon of Baking Soda and the juice from a half of a lemon. Stir this into a paste and put this onto the shin where it is needed. Let it sit for twenty minutes and then rinse it off. After doing this everyday your skin will begin to look lovely in a few days and the Acne will be gone in two or three weeks.

10. A lot of people grow the Aloe Vera plant in their house. The juice that oozes out of the leaves, this can be rubbed onto pimples, sores and burns. It is very soothing to all three of these and it will cause them all to heal and be gone in a few days.

11. Another mixture that can be used for pimples and most houses have this is to mix one teaspoon of powdered Nutmeg to one teaspoon of Honey. Rub this mixture on your pimples and let it sit for 20 minutes. Then rinse it off. A few drops of real lemon juice could be added also to this mixture.

12. This mixture can also be used as a face wash. It will get rid of pimples and other sores causing them to heal up so much faster. Mix one teaspoon of Epsom Salt and 3 drops of Iodine to a half cup of water. Boil this solution and after it has cooled dip a cotton ball into it and clean out all the pores on your face.

      My son had a bad case of Acne and while visiting the Chiropractor getting an adjustment, the Chiropractor told him to take Cayenne Pepper in capsules, 500 mg. He was to take one after lunch and a second one after supper. He followed the instructions and in 6 weeks his Acne was gone. This is the number Remedy in getting rid of stomach ulcers.

      Also in helping me to clear up my Acne my Mom bought some cleaning lotions from a company called " Fashion-Two-Twenty " who's home office was in Ohio only about 30 miles from where we lived. This was very helpful in removing the oils off the face and it helped to control the Acne. Other lotions and salves can be bought at the store that were made for getting rid of Acne. The store manager will help you into finding the right one that will help you with your Acne problems, and most of these salves will do a fairly good job. If you are not happy with one of them then try another one. There are many to pick from for controlling Acne. You could even try a bottle of Organic Vinegar. This is great for Acne also.

      If you are suffering from Acne, do not fear. There is plenty of help and lots of Remedies. I do believe that the best one is to change your diet and stay away from the sugars, the oily and greasy foods, the cheese and peanut butter and leave all that yummy chocolate alone until that Acne is gone. I mean really Gone!!!!

Remedies For Allergies.

      A large range of things can cause a reaction to the body. Different kinds of pollen in the air or the smell of Chemicals. Some foods you have eaten or clothes that you have worn or touching poisonous plants. Any one of these items could have caused one of the following:  A.--Red watery eyes.  B.--Itchy skin.  C.--Sneezing.  D.--Coughing.  D.--A runny nose.  E.--Hives or rashes.  F.--Stomach cramps.  G.--Diarrhea.  H.--Vomiting.  I.--Or you are having a hard time breathing.
      Sometimes we could even be sensitive to some of the Chemical that are found in the foods that we eat. Or too many sweets are entering our bodies, and it just can not handle all that sugar. Many things like this can cause a reaction. They make us go Bananas. It is also good to know about the prescription drugs that we are taking. They could be bothering us also. Below are some Remedies that will help you to overcome those Allergies.

 1. If you feel that something is always bothering you then go see a Doctor to help you determine the next step that you need to take. Also see a Doctor if your body reacts to a Bee Sting, or see a Doctor for a spider or a snake bite.

 2. If you feel that there are several things that are bothering you could start an " Allergy Journal " and make a list of all the foods you ate, the clothes that you wore, the lotions and soaps you have used and how they have reacted on your body. In this way you may be able to pinpoint as to what is causing your problem.

 3. If packaged food was bothering you you could read the ingredients on the package to determined what was in it that was bothering you or you could avoid the product altogether.

 4. Always wash with soap and water all pots and pans and dishes before you reuse any of them. Just rinsing the food off the plates is not good enough. Also make sure that the soap is all washed off with a good rinse. Soap that is left on the dishes could cause a reaction. It is best to drip-dry your dishes in stead of using a towel for best results.

 5. Eat your food with a positive attitude. A negative attitude could make your body react to a lot of different foods.

 6. Always wash your hands and face before eating. This will prevent Germs from getting into your food. Wash your hands often during the day. This will prevent Germs, different forms of Virus and Bacteria from spreading to your clothes and other body parts like your face.

 7. Wash your clothes and bed sheets regularly. Sanitation is very important in preventing Allergic Reactions.

 8. Make sure that your bathroom is clean and disinfected regularly so that your waist products will not spread a disease. Always wash your hands after using the bathroom and use plenty of soap and water.

 9. Soaps, body lotions, shampoos and hair spray can also cause an Allergic Reaction on our bodies.

10. If a deodorant gives you a rash then quit using it and try another one.

11. Take a bath regularly using soap, shampoo or liquid body soap. If any of these make you itch then try something else. Some soaps bother me and others do not. Even dish soap can be used as a shampoo or a body wash because it is a concentrated soap. Do not use regular soap to wash your hair. this will dry up your scalp causing your skin to flake and become dandruff.

12. The juice inside an Aloe Vera plant is very soothing to sores, burns, itches and rashes that may have formed from an Allergic Reaction. It will relieve all kinds of skin problems.

13. Soak a cloth in sweet milk and put this onto irritated skin or sunburn for 10 to 15 minutes. Repeat this process on any skin condition until it feels better.

14. You can also rub Yellow Mustard, the same that you put on hot dogs, onto sores, rashes and sunburn. This will relieve the pain and cause these irritations to heal.

15. Use " Calendula Tea " for soothing irritated skin and sunburn. The instructions are as follows. Steep " Marigold Flowers " in hot water and put the tea soaked rag over your rash or sunburn. You will feel 100% better. Calendula is a common ingredient in many oils, creams and ointments to help wounds to heal fast. Another flower called " Chamomile ", it has the same properties for healing wounds the same as " Calendula ". Chamomile Tea has been a popular beverage for over 300 years in helping the body to relax and it will help you to sleep better at night. It has no side effects.

16. A cloth soaked in Witch Hazel will get rid of a rash or other body pains.

17. Crushed Flax seed mixed with hot water or you can use flax seed oil, this can be applied to irritated shin with good results.

18. The leaves of the English Walnut Tree can be boiled in water and applied to sores and other skin irritations for excellent results. It is very good for oosing sores. It will make them dry up and heal.

19. Almond Oil is also good for softening and soothing irritated skin.

20. If the Pollen in the air is bothering you then buy some local honey and eat a teaspoon of it everyday. In a lot of people the honey will control your Allergic Reaction to the pollen.

21. Mix a tablespoon of horseradish with some honey and add a few drops of real lemon juice. All three of these will kill Bacteria and it will force your sinuses to open up. It will also destroy the mucus in your body.

22. Take 500 milligrams of the leaves of Stinging Nettle in capsules 3 times a day, when your body is going through an Allergic Reaction. The leaves have a lots of good health properties and they could be taken everyday on a regular bases.

23. Take 120 to 240 milligrams a day of Ginkgo Biloba. This is a very effective Allergy fighter.

24..It is suggested to use 3000 milligrams a day of Omega-3 Fatty Acids. This is fish oil and it is used for Allergies. The Fish Oil from Salmon and Mackerel is the best choice.

25. Flax seed is very high in Omega-3 Fatty Acids. Take one tablespoon of Flax Seed Oil everyday or put it into your juice or smoothie. Flax Seed is a deadly Cancer fighter. It is also suggested to put a teaspoon of Flax Seed Oil into a 16 oz. container of cottage cheese and eat this with your meals.

26. If you suffer from pollen during that part of the season then always wash your hair before going to bed. This will prevent the pollen from going from your head to your pillow.

27. During pollen season, be sure to roll up all the windows of your car and turn on the air conditioning.

28. During pollen season, wear wrap around sunglasses to protect your eyes or wear a face mask.

29. A thunderstorm will cause Pollen Grains to swell up and break open. So if pollen bothers you then stay indoors during a thunderstorm and up to 3 hours afterwards.

30. Vacuum all your carpets regularly. This will pick up dust and insects called  " Dust Mites " that can cause an Allergic Reaction. If your bed has Dust Mites and it is giving you an Allergic Reaction, you can buy a special covering at a drug store to cover over your bed. This will repel all insects.

Natural Remedies For Bed-Wetters.

      I had a lady come to me and said that she had a problem with Bed-Wetters and over the years she had to cope with it and yet she had not found a way to solve the problem. She then asked me for suggestions. The first thing I said to her was to give her children 4 fl. oz. of pure Cranberry Juice before they went to bed. This Juice controls the bladder and it helps you to sleep all night without wetting the bed. She asked if this worked on my children? I told her that I did nor discover this Remedy until after my children had learned to overcome this bad habit. I told her that I had read several sources where people claimed that pure Cranberry Juice does really work. Also if you add real lemon juice to the Cranberry Juice it will double it's properties and it is great on your Kidneys.

 1. So the first Remedy is to give 4 fl. oz. of pure Cranberry Juice to the Bed-Wetter before they go to bed. Like I said up above this Juice will control your bladder so that you will not have to Pee during the night. Not all Remedies will work for each person, but you could try this and if it works, hey that is great. But if it does not work then you can try something else. But from what I have researched, Cranberry Juice is not only great for children but it is also good for older folks too.
   

 2. A lady who was a Bed-Wetter both as a child and an adult discovered that eating HONEY before going to bed helped her to stay dry all night long. She got this information from a friend and guess what? It did work! From that time fourth she kept plenty of honey around the house and this Remedy also works for children. Children really like this Remedy because it is sweet. This lady eats a teaspoon of honey in the morning, one teaspoon at noon, one teaspoon in the afternoon and another before she goes to bed. The honey causes the body to secrete more ADH Hormones and this slows down or stops the urination.

 3. We used the old fashioned method on our children and it help them to control Bed-Wetting. Number one. You can get up every night and take them to the bathroom. This most generally would stop the Bed-Wetting. Also no water was drank after 6 PM. A third way was to set an alarm to go off each night and the child would train himself to get up and go to the bathroom. You would also teach him to set his own alarm all by himself. After a while they will get up on their own without the alarm and go to the bathroom.

 4. A Chiropractor claims that there is a bone in the pubic area of children that does not form right  while the child is growing up and if not corrected the child will Pee the bed. But if the Chiropractor makes a simple adjustment that causes the bone to sit like it is supposed to do then the child will not be wetting the bed anymore. I do believe that this is possible because when my children had ear drainage problems, a simple adjustment from the Chiropractor drained the ears and a Medical Doctor did not have to put tubes in his ears which save us a few thousand dollars.

 5. Taking Corn Silk in capsules before going to bed at night, this will stop a child from wetting the  bed.

 6. By not letting children drink milk from the time they get home from school to the time that they  go to bed, this will stop children from wetting the bed.

 7. One person claimed that " Orange Blossom Honey " was way more effective in stopping bed- Wetters then that of using regular honey. This is also true with Blueberry and Blackberry Honey.

 8. This is for grown-ups. Do not drink Beer after 6 PM. Beer will make you want to Pee all night  long.

 9. Cut way down on the Sugar intake for children. This includes the drinking of Soda Pops. Way too  much Sugar in their diets will cause them to be Bed-Wetters.

10. Feed a child a whole white Walnut, they look like a Brain, and a tablespoon of Raisins. This will  stop a child from wetting the bed.

11. Giving a child a Bone Meal Tablet after lunch and a 2nd one after supper, this will stop them
 from wetting the bed.

12. The lack of the Mineral called Magnesium in a child's body can cause them to be Bed-Wetters.  Have them take a pill that has both Vitamins and Magnesium.

13. When you Pee in the toilet do this: Pee,Stop... Pee, Stop... Pee, Stop...Do this until the urine is  gone. This will strengthen the Bladder Muscle and you will Pee less often during the night. If you   can teach a child to do this it will help them to control Bed-Wetting. This also works very well with older men.

14. Blueberries are expensive to buy in a store. But if you live in an area where Blueberries or  Blackberries grow wild all around you, you can gather them and eat them before going to bed.
 This will help to control Bed-Wetting. The eating of these berries will also cure Diarrhea. They
 are high in Pectin and that is what does the trick.

15. It is suggested that you take your child to a Clinical Hypnotherapist. These people can teach a
 child to overcome their Bed-Wetting problem in just 2 or 3 visits.

16. One Doctor suggested that you tie a towel around the child's loins with the knot in the front
 before the child goes to bed. The reason is unknown but in some children this method did cure
 Bed-Wetting.

      For best results try 3 or 4 of these suggestions all at the same time. These suggestions are safe to use for both children and adults.

      Every child is different and not every Remedy will work for everyone. If one does not seem to work then try another one. One lady claimed that regular Honey would not work for her kids. But she discovered that the Orange Blossom Honey worked very well in helping her children into overcoming their Bed-Wetting problems.

      There are 16 methods that are suggested here and Parents who are using them on their kids, they claim that many of them do work and they are providing a dry night for their children for the first time in years. Like I have already said that these Remedies will work for Adults also. So give it a try! You have nothing to loose!

Cures And Remedies For Parkinson's Disease.

      Parkinson's Disease is another unusual disease that Doctors have been struggling in finding the hows, the whys and the whats. The Doctors have no cures for Parkinson's and a lot of people have died from it. In the Doctors eyes there is not much hope, but from the " Natural Worlds " stand point there are some great possibilities on the positive side.
      First of all Parkinson's is a Brain Disease. The Brain is the Transmission of our body. Or you might say it is the computer that runs our system. Most of us have no problems in moving our fingers, our hands, our arms, our legs or our head. A person who has Parkinson's Disease has a hard time connecting his Brain to all his body parts. Sometimes they move just fine and then at other times their body parts will not move at all. For some reason the Brain won't do it's job. Then suddenly the body parts will start moving again. It must be really scary to the individual when this begins to happen. Younger people do get this disease but it is more common in older people. Body parts in older people are beginning to wear out and so is the Brain. But there is Hope for those who have Parkinson's Disease and there is Hope for all of us who do not have this disease. There are some good steps we can all practice that show positive results.
      Michael J. Fox was told that he has Parkinson's Disease. He is an actor in the movie called "Back To The Future" movies 1, 2, and 3, and he stars with Doc Brown. Fox has started a program called the " Michael J. Fox Foundation " and it's purpose is to find a cure for Parkinson's Disease. But as I have already stated there are some positive possibilities for those who have this Disease and they are found in the " Natural World ".
      Let's talk about the causes of Parkinson's Disease. As we grow older our body parts begin to wear down starting at about age 50. From this point on we will have less blood circulating through the Brain and there will be also less oxygen also. Food that we eat that is high in antioxidants and Fiber will greatly help the Brain to function normally. We all live in a day and age where much of the foods that we eat has been precooked and all we have to do is heat it up in a microwave oven. This food has NO FIBER in it and no vitamins and minerals except man made vitamins. This food also has preservatives in it to help it to keep longer. This food has no antioxidants and it will make more Free Radicals which is bad for your brain. On the other hand foods that are high in antioxidants and fiber,  they will kill off Free Radicals and they will provide oxygen to the brain. They are fresh fruits, vegetables and the eating of whole grains.
      Another factor that triggers off Parkinson's Disease is not having enough good cholesterol surrounding our Brain. You need a lot of good Cholesterol around the Brain in order for it to function normally.  It is like having oil in a car motor. If you have the right amount than it runs OK. But if the oil gets too low then you will have motor problems. The same goes for our Brains by having a lot of good cholesterol around it to make it also function OK. Guess what food will provide good cholesterol around the Brain? The eating of lots of eggs for breakfast fried in real butter or coconut oil. All three of these foods will help to make good cholesterol.
      I have already talked about foods that are high in antioxidants and fiber that they are excellent in preventing Parkinson's Disease and it will help all of those who have the disease right now into bringing it under control. Plus this kind of food will kill off Free Radicals. Now what are these foods that have antioxidants and lots of Fiber?
      Remember this rule of thumb and that is to eat all the colors of the rainbow everyday in the way of fruits and vegetables. The colors that have the highest in antioxidants are Red and Orange. The Orange colored fruits and vegetables are not only high in Vitamin C but they also have a lot of Beta Carotene and the body will turn this into pure Vitamin A. A list of Orange colored foods are Oranges, Sweet Potatoes, Orange Colored Squash, Carrots, Apricots, Peaches, Nectarines, Cam-Cots and the tropical fruit called Papaya. These are the most common on the list. The natural Red foods are Tomatoes, Watermelons, Beets, Strawberries, Red Currants, Cranberries and raspberries just to name a few. Whole grains are rich in Fiber also and so are Dried Beans that are made into chili and bean soup. As a general rule any vegetable that is grown in an organic garden is high in antioxidants and Fiber. Flax Seed is the highest of all the grains in antioxidants but it is a natural laxative and it must be eaten sparingly.
      Have you ever heard the saying that  " An Apple a day will keep the doctor away. " ? Well, it is true with a Banana also. But a Banana has more Vitamins and Minerals then the Apple does. So the saying should say " A Banana and or Apple a day will keep the doctor away ". Both of these foods are fighters against Parkinson's Disease. They are both high in Fiber. They have a lot of Pectin in them. They are both high in a mineral called Potassium and they are both antioxidant foods that will kill Free Radicals. So not only are they both good Brain food but they are also good for the Heart and they will help to lower the blood pressure. From now on eat Bananas or Apples everyday.
      There are other supplements that are very helpful towards Parkinson's Disease. These are----Garlic Oil----which brings balance to the body. It kills Free Radicals and it provides good circulation though out the whole body. Peppermint Tea is also an excellent body balancer. Ginkgo Biloba in capsules----will put more Oxygen in the Brain and it will boost up your memory power. Cayenne Pepper in capsules----will increase circulation throughout the whole body. It will automatically lower your Blood Pressure. It kills off Free Radicals and it will kill Cancer cells. This is also a high antioxidant food. After you eat half of a big meal. Swallow a Cayenne Pepper pill and then eat the other half of the meal. Drink Molasses and Milk every day. Put a teaspoon of Grandma's Molasses into 16oz. of milk and stir well. Molasses has 9 minerals and Vitamin B-6. This is an excellent natural drink that is good for the Brain and the Heart. Eat lots of White Walnuts. The nut inside the shell looks like a Brain. This is excellent Brain food.
      So far we are on the right path into preventing Parkinson's Disease or we are finding ways to control it. This antioxidant food is providing us with lots of oxygen to the brain. Another way to provide oxygen is to exercise our bodies by doing jump rope, jumping jacks, hopping around like a rabbit, jogging or walking really fast. All of these will get your heart to beat real fast taking in a lot of oxygen into your lungs and into your Brain.
      Now how do we get better blood circulation to our Brains. The exercise listed above will do the trick. Another way is to massage the top of your head with your finger tips every day for 5 minutes or more. Not only will this provide more circulation to the Brain but it will stop most of your headaches. Would you believe that I have not had a headache in 20 years. Running both hands down the back of the neck for a few minutes will provide good blood circulation to the Brain. Another way is to put both feet on the floor on ice packs and then lay down on the bed for a half an hour. If you had a Migraine Headache it will be gone. You know I would almost bet that vegetarians rarely get Parkinson's Disease or Cancer because their diets are always full of antioxidants and Fiber.
      Another factor into controlling Parkinson's Disease is to take Vitamin E, 1200 units or more will do the trick. Turkey Red Winter Wheat when it is freshly ground, it has a lot of Vitamin E in it and so does olive oil. But to make sure that you are getting plenty of Vitamin E buy it in any store that has Vitamins and Minerals. Vitamin E Oil is also good for Burns, Wounds and ear aches.
      OK! Do you now feel that there could be hope for you as far as it goes for Parkinson's Disease? Everyone who has Parkinson's Disease should be seeing a Doctor, but at the same time you need to be practicing the suggestions I have made into controlling this disease and you can discuss with your Doctor anything that I have suggested.
      There is one word of Caution! Many of you are Soda Pop drinkers. The Fizz that is found in soda pop will pull the oxygen right out of the body. It would not surprise me one bit if most people who have Parkinson's Disease were heavy pop drinkers. I can not stop you from drinking soda pop but it will decrease the oxygen in your body making you more likely in getting Parkinson's Disease. Think about it. The choice is yours. It is a proven fact that drinking Mountain Dew for a long period of time will slowly eat the cartilage out of your knees and you may have to have a knee replacement before you even turn 60 years old. Also for those who drink Coke or Pepsi for a long period of time, it will give you the shakes. If you don't want these things to happen to you then you had better quit drinking Soda Pop now. Too much Soda Pop drinking will take a negative towards your kidneys. In other words your kidneys will quit working on you, and you may also become a Diabetic from taking all that sugar into your body. So quit drinking Soda Pop now while things are going good for you.
      One thing that I have not covered but I think it is very important and that is to exercise your Brain everyday both physically and spiritually. You will do this by reading and writing or doing math problems. There are lots of games that will make you think and that is good. Read anything you like in the way of fiction or non-fiction books. Me, I like to do research. I read first and then I write my thoughts down on paper.
      No matter what religion you belong to you need to exercise your Brain. This will help to heal a sick mind also. You can read and ponder on the Bible, the Apocrypha, the Koran, the Torah, the Book of Mormon or the millions of books that will help us all to be better citizens and good neighbors.This kind of knowledge can help everyone of us.

Remedies For Cuts, Wounds And Nosebleeds.

      When we were children we were always falling down and scraping our arms and legs on the ground or falling off our bikes. We were always getting nicked somewhere on the body, and who was our Doctor? Yes, you are right, our own Mothers. Today we are the Moms and Dads and it is our turn to doctor up ourselves and our children. Generally for most cuts and wounds we do not need to see a Doctor and with the few ideas listed below we should be able to fix most wounds ourselves.
      But you need to be the Judge. If a wound has torn off a lot of skin and flesh from an accident or there is a big gap in the flesh from a knife wound or from some glass, then the person needs medical attention. TAKE THEM TO A DOCTOR.
      For the minor cuts and wounds, just do some of the basic First-Aid that our parents use to practice. Here are some basic guide lines.

 1. You need to stop the bleeding. Put a clean cloth over the bleeding area and apply pressure for a few minutes. This is very important for wounds that are bleeding a lot. In this case while pressure is being applied, get the person to a Doctor as soon as possible. Some people think that you have to use a Tourniquet to stop the bleeding. A Tourniquet is something that you tie around the leg or arm between the wound and the heart to cut off blood circulation. Improper use of a Tourniquet could cause the loss of an arm or a leg or it could cause the person to die. DO NOT USE A TOURNIQUET! Apply pressure to the wound to stop the bleeding.

 2. The wound needs to be cleaned. Often when you fall on the ground there is dirt on the wound. All cuts and wounds need to be washed with Soap and Water. Soap will not only clean the wound but it also disinfects all wounds, and helps them to heal.

 3. Apply a disinfectant to the wound. Soap may disinfect it but you need to be doubly sure. So at this time apply Iodine or Hydrogen Peroxide or Rubbing Alcohol and then put a bandage over the wound.

 4. For smaller wounds you can put a Band-Aid on it after you have washed it. If the wound is on your finger and it is bleeding, you could put your finger into white flour or baking soda. Both of these will quickly stop the bleeding. For larger wounds use some gauze after you have washed it and use some white tape to hold the gauze onto the wound. Change the bandage twice a day and before you put another on it spray some more disinfectant onto the wound.

 5. There are several things that you could add to a wound to speed up the healing time or provide more comfort to the wound. These Ointments, Salves, Sprays and Oils can be bought at the store. The Manager will help you to pick the right one. Below are some of the other extras that you could put on a wound to make it more comfortable.

 A.    Many people grow a plant in their house called Aloe Vera. When you break a leaf off this plant the juice in the leaf is excellent for Cuts, Wounds and Burns. It is very soothing to any Wound and it will speed up the healing time.

 B.    The milky fluid that is found in the Dandelion Plant or the Milkweed Plant, it can be added to a Wound to help speed up the healing time.

 C.    White Vinegar is excellent when added to all Wounds.

 D.    Honey is excellent for Burns and all kinds of Wounds. Honey is a natural disinfectant and it will draw the heat out of a Burn. Just put a little dab of it on the Band-Aid or the gauze and then tape it directly to the sore.

 E.    Yellow Mustard that you put on Hot Dogs is also good for all kinds of Wounds. It is excellent for Bad Sunburns. It is very soothing to the Burn and it will help you sleep at night without that prickly feeling that you get from sunburn. Again just put a dab of it on a bandage and tape it to the wound.

 F.    Vitamin E Oil is excellent when rubbed onto all Wounds and Burns. Again this is very soothing to all Wounds.

 G.    A lady from India says that Yogurt is very soothing to all Wounds and Burns.

 H.    A lady got bitten on the calf of her leg by a wild alley cat and her leg became swollen. The next day she went to Wyoming, USA, to visit her sister. The sister's neighbor was a Country Doctor and she came over to look at that swollen leg. She took a piece of bread and soaked it in sweet milk and tied it to the lady's leg with some cotton strips. The next day the wound was almost healed and the leg was no longer swollen.

 I.    Today if a person steps on a rusty nail, they are given a Booster Shot and then the Doctor will clean and bandage the puncher wound. Back in the good old days over 100 years ago before they had Booster Shots, if a person stepped on a rusty nail or got injured on rusty farm equipment, they would take a thin piece of salt pork fat and put lots of pepper on it and then tie it onto the wound. This method would always work because the pork fat would always draw out the poison and prevent infection.

 J.    I always keep a can of Bag Balm sitting in my house. It is excellent for all kinds of wounds and rashes. If you melt the salve down on low heat until it turns to liquid and then add 12 capsules of powdered Yellow Dock Root to the liquid and stir it, it will make a very good itch salve. When it cools it will be a salve again. The powdered Yellow Dock Root can be bought at any health foods store. This is really some good stuff.

 K.    As it shows up above there are several Oils the are good for all kinds of wounds and it will speed up the healing time. These Oils are: Vitamin E, Garlic, Flax Seed, Wheat Germ and Olive Oil.

L.    A man had a finger that got all infested and it was full of puss. His wife put a slice of tomato on the finger and bandage it up. Two days later the finger was almost healed.

      So when we are faced with Cuts and Wounds. we do not have to always run to the Doctor when we can apply First-Aid ourselves. But remember, if the cut is way too big or too deep or too much skin and flesh was torn from the body, then it may be wise to include a Doctor. But most wounds can be treated at home.

      Now it is time to say something about Nosebleed. Some people get them often while others get them only once in a while. But the Remedies in stopping a nosebleed are easy.
      Most nosebleeds are caused from us digging in our nose with a finger. Something is in our nose and it is driving us batty. So we put our finger up our nose to get that bothersome matter out of our nose. But while doing so we accidentally scratch the insides of our nose with the fingernail and our nose starts to bleed. You all know what I mean. Or we accidentally bump our nose and it begins to bleed. To stop a Nosebleed, please do one of the following:

 1.    The most common way to stop a nosebleed is to put a piece of tissue paper up each nose hole and leave them there for a few minutes. When you pull them out, if the nose is still bleeding then repeat the process and leave the tissue in there for a longer period of time.

 2.    Use your thumb and first index finger and squeeze both sides of the nose for a few minutes. This will stop a nosebleed.

 3.    Putting a cold object on the back of the neck will stop a nosebleed, like an ice pack, or a cold piece of metal or an ice cube.

 4.    My Boss one day put a broom handle on the back of my neck and pressed down on it. The nose quit bleeding.

 5.    Put a penny between the upper lip and the gums and hold it tight for a few minutes, or use your finger and press hard against the middle of the upper lip for a few minutes.

 6.    I will have to try this one the next time I get a nosebleed. It is so easy. Just put your hands into some ice cold water and it will stop a nosebleed. But remember if one of these Remedies do not seem to work then try another one. No two of us are the same.

So you need to cut down on both of these if you want the coconut oil to do its job in getting rid of that fat on the gut, because the beer and the pop will continue to provide you with a pot belly even though the coconut oil is doing it's best into getting rid of it.
      Coconut Oil is a wonderful natural medicine. Words Of Wisdom And Redneck Ideas That Will Save You Several Bucks A Day.

      Every one can learn from others experiences and we also learn from our own mistakes. Below is a list of common sense ideas that will save you from being injured or it can save you a lot of money because you had made a wise decision. Please practice these ideas. In the long run you will be glad that you did.

1. Buy Steel Toed Safety Shoes to wear while you work. You will never know when a large rock, or a heavy peace of wood, or heavy metal could fall onto your toes and injure them. Or you may step on a nail. The few extra dollars that you may have to spend on these shoes can save you hundreds of dollars in Doctor's Bills or being treated at the hospital for a badly injured foot. You can't say:  " That will never happen to me." because it can happen and it comes when you are not expecting it. So be wise when you buy your next pair of work boots.

2. Always wear Safety Glasses as you work outside. It will prevent the wind from blowing dirt and sawdust into your eyes. It will prevent eye injury if something should beak loose and fly into your face. Most of us have had this already happened to us and we say we were lucky for not becoming injured. A second or a third time may not be so lucky. Learn from your mistakes. Even a mechanic should wear Safety Glasses. It will prevent tools from being poked into the eyes like a screw driver. It does happen. Believe me!!

3. Wear ear plugs or other ear protectors that will cut down the noise that we get from lawnmowers, tillers, motorcycles, heavy equipment, chainsaws, fireworks, industrial equipment, and rock concerts just to name a few of the common noises that we have to cope with almost everyday. When you get older you will be glad that you had followed these safety measures. You will have saved yourself a lot of money in the long run and you will still be able to hear when you get older while others have to wear hearing aids.

4. It is wise to wear a carpenters belt while you are working outside. It will save you a lot of time and space by having tools and nails at your finger tips when you need them rather then always retracing your steps to get what you need.

5. Do you have extra plywood to be used for another day? Store them flat out side with supports every 12  inches. Then cover them with a tarp. If you stand them on end outside, they will warp. But if you stand them on end indoors then that should be OK as long as no moisture can not get to them.

6. When storing nuts, bolts, screws, nails, washers and other hardware I use the empty plastic oil bottles or empty antifreeze containers and I cut the sides out of them. This is great for organizing your hardware by putting these plastic containers to good use rather then throwing them away. The long necks and handles makes them easy to pull out to find what you need. You can also put a white tape by each container and write on it what each container is. My oil containers are double stacked to save space.

7. If you do not want to pay a few hundred dollars for a many drawer tool box, you can pick up old cabinets with drawers and stack them in your work shop. You can get these real cheap at thrift stores or yard sales and they are good for storing just about anything. I even put my case lot food into them. It makes the food handy and available when you need it.

8. Do you need a cheap work bench. Buy an old cabinet with drawers and/or cupboards and nail a piece of plywood to it. You now have a work bench. An old desk with drawers will also work. Then you can buy some old cabinets to put on the back side of your wood bench to store your wood working tools, screwdrivers, wrenches or anything else you may need. After you have organized your tools and everything is at your finger tips, you will be glad that you did it this way and this simple workbench will last you a long, long time. By the way, the only person you are pleasing is yourself.

9. An indoor-outdoor work light that uses a regular light bulb and is also called a strobe light, this will plug into any outlet. Most of these work lights have a clamp on them and they can be moved into any direction. These make great lights for any work table and they cost less then ten dollars. I have seen these lights at thrifts stores and yard sales for only a couple of bucks. A mechanic's light will also work as a good work table light.

10. Color TV's are nice to have but did you know that they use 3 times more energy then the black and white ones.

11. If you are going to buy more tools and power equipment in the near future, check with the adds at the mail-order companies and/or ' Harbor Freight ". These companies are very competitive and their prices are very low.

12. When you run into a rusted part and you cannot get it apart. Wrap a cloth around it and saturate it with WD-40. Let the cloth stay on all night long. Then loosen the part.

13. You will save a lot of money on your electric bill if you put your refrigerator and freezer on the back porch, in the garage or in the basement. some people will make an outside shed on the north side of the house to put the refrigerator and freezer in it. But remember they will use much more energy in a warm room compared to a cool one.

14. Remember that when you buy another refrigerator that the frost-free ones will use 50%  more energy then the regular ones.

15. Growing shade trees around your house will keep it cooler during the hot summer months. Window fans use way less energy compared to air-conditioners. Because heat rises, open up attic and second story windows to let the hot air out. They also make special windows that can be installed that will automatically keep your home cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. In the long run because your house will be using less energy, these windows will pay for themselves and you will have them for many years to come.

16. If you are gluing any wood parts together you can use rubber bands as clamps. They can be bought in many different sizes at a hobby store and when you are not using them, just hang them on a nail by your work bench.

17. Make a homemade wood polish by mixing one third cup of each of the following: boiled linseed oil, turpentine and vinegar.Apply this mixture to your furniture with a soft rag and wipe it dry. Then polish it with another soft rag.

18. This is a home made window washer and it will leave no streaks. Mix one half of a cup of cornstarch to two quarts of water. Spay this on to your windows and wipe it clean.

19. A good and effective way to clean cutting boards is to rub onto them a paste made of baking soda and water. This will both clean and deodorize the cutting boards. If the cutting boards are extra smelly, leave the paste on it for several minutes. This will get rid of all smells. A 2nd way to clean a cutting board is to rub household vinegar all over it.

20. If you end up with crayon marks on your painted walls, never fear, toothpaste is near. Just scrub the walls with it and rinse. IF your kids don't seem to learn then make sure you have plenty of toothpaste on hand. But teach them kindly that coloring books and paper is so much better then the walls.

21. You can get a lot more juice out of your lemons and limes if you soak them in warm water for a few minutes before cutting them open.

22. When buying bananas, separate them when you get home and leave a one inch nob at the end of each banana. This will prevent them from ripening so fast.

23. This is a baking powder substitute. For every teaspoon of baking powder use one fourth of a teaspoon of baking soda and three-eights teaspoon of cream-of-tartar.

24. Putting a piece of bread into the cookie jar will keep the cookies soft and moist. This also works with brown sugar that is sitting in an enclosed container. The bread will prevent the sugar from getting hard.

25. The following is an easy trick into getting most of the gas out of cooked beans. After soaking the beans, throw away the water. Then boil the beans for 15 minutes and again throw away the water. Then cook the beans until they are tender, this will get rid of most of the gas.

26. Encourage your pop-corn to pop more easier by sprinkling the pop-corn with warm water one hour before popping.

27. When you store your grains for a long period of time, put into the container a dried piece of hot pepper and/or a Bay leaf. This will prevent all kinds of bugs from bothering your grains and beans.

28. If you do not have a root cellar you can make an easy homemade one by digging a hole and putting a chest freezer that does not work into the ground. Slope the ground around it for easy water run off. This makes a handy root cellar for storing vegetables. If a chest freezer can not be found then use a large ice chest or a Styrofoam ice chest. Bury these into the ground where the sun does not shine much, and better yet put a roof over them.

29. Are you having a hard time cracking those hard shelled nuts? Then try a small bench vise. This is great for cracking all kinds of nuts. There is a second easy way to crack those hard shelled nuts and that is to run a car over them on cement. Put a 4x4 piece of wood on each side of the tire and run the car back and forth over the nuts. Be sure to put a clean rag onto the cement, add the nuts then use another clean rag to put over the nuts. This will keep your nuts clean and it will prevent the shells from flying everywhere.

30. For those of you who are corn-on-the-cob eaters. An easy way to remove the silk from the corn cob is to run a damp paper towel or napkin length wise down the ear. The silk will cling to the paper making it's removal very easy.

31. Would you like to see pealed garlic last for a long time. Put them into a glass jar of olive oil. Because the air can not get to them they will last for a long long time.In fact they will keep for several months. The garlic flavored oil does taste great on salads.

32. When storing onions in your frig, be sure to cut off the sprout end. This will make the onion last so much longer in your frig.

33. To prevent onions from making you cry while cutting them up, wear goggles. You can leave them in your freezer for 15 minutes or in your refrigerator for one hour before cutting them up.

34. Do not peal your potatoes and carrots for eating. Most of the vitamins and minerals are found in the peelings. Just wash them clean, slice them up and then cook them.

35.  Do not throw away the water when you cook vegetables. This juice is full of vitamins and minerals. Save this juice to make soups and/or beef stews. It will make the soup so much healthier.

36. Boil your potatoes in a wired french-fry basket that will fit into another pan. When they are done, you can pull out the wire basket and it will drain on it's own with no problems. I see these wire baskets quite often at thrift stores.

37. When a recipe calls for a cheese cloth to strain soup or teas, don't panic if you do not have one. A nylon sock will also work.

38. Hang a ruler in your kitchen or put a small measuring tape in your drawer. When a recipe calls for a 9 inch pie pan or a 9 x 12 inch cake pan, you will be able to measure it to know that you have the right sized pan to do the job. These measuring tools come in handy for other projects also.

39. Do you have a lid that is too tight on a jar. Turn the jar upside down and you turn the bottle while hot water is running onto the lid. This will most generally loosen the lid. Also buying a set of rubber gloves for your kitchen will help to loosen a tight lid.
      My friend had an Uncle that had big hands and he could loosen any tight lid. His name was Rex. Rex is no longer with us. He is now living in the happy hunting grounds. When my friend can not loosen a lid, he will call upon Uncle Rex for help. I also have made Rex my uncle. When I get a tight lid  I will look up into the sky and say: " Uncle Rex, I need help. "  and the lid will suddenly become loose. I have called upon Rex several times and the lid will always come loose. Who knows, maybe he could become your uncle also.

40. Would you like to save 30 or 40 bucks a month? Turn off your water heater when you are not using it. It uses a lot of energy to keep that water hot. If you have an insulation blanket around the heater it will keep the water hot for over 24 hours. Our water heater goes on and off 3 or 4 times a week. Remember that when it is night time outside, everyone will be in bed fast asleep and no one will be using the water heater. So why leave it on if you are not using it. By the way, you can get an electrician to rig up a toggle switch inside your house so that you can easily turn the water heater on and off. The money you have saved can go into a savings account. When you leave the house for one to several days, turn off your water heater.

41. Do you have chlorinated water coming out of your water taps? Do not drink chlorinated water. It is bad on your heart, your kidneys and your liver. It also speeds up your aging process. People who drink chlorinated water have a 90% higher chance of getting Cancer. So you need to do the following. Put that chlorinated water into wide mouth containers or water pitchers and let them sit for 24 hours. This water is now fit to drink and it will taste so much better and be more healthier to drink This water is unchlorinated.

42. Is it difficult for you to climb steps because your legs ache or they are weak and not as strong as they use to be. Never fear! There is a safe and easy way to climb up and down those steps and you will have more strength to do so. That secret is to go up and down those steps on all fours just like a dog or a cat. In other words, instead of using just 2 feet you also use your hands. When I go up the steps on all fours I use my fists and not my hands. When you come back down the steps, you come down the steps backwards on all fours. In this way you can come down slowly and carefully and you will not feel dizzy. Try it. If it works for me, then it will also work for you.

43. Take time to shop at yard sales and thrift shops. They often sale next to new stuff for a cheap price. Christmas gifts can bought at these places throughout the year and stored away until Christmas comes. Buying these next to new items will save you a lot of money compared to the new stuff. Oh there will be sales to where the new stuff can be bought fairly cheap and that is OK. I too an always looking for these special deals.

44. This is a very good substitute toilet bowl cleaner. Use Baking Soda and vinegar. Sprinkle Baking Soda all over the toilet and then spray vinegar on it. This makes an excellent cleaner and deodorizer for your toilet. When you leave the house for a few hours add a fourth cup of bleach to your toilet. This will automatically clean your toilet while you are gone.

45. An easy homemade cleanser to be use on extra dirty dishes, appliances, corning ware, sinks and tubs and this cleanser is non-abrasive, use a concentrated detergent and Baking Soda.

46. If you ever spill grease on your floor, do not panic. All you have to do is pour ice-cold water onto the greased floor or put ice cubes on it. The grease will harden up and you will be able to scrap it off the floor easily and safely.

47. Would you like to save one or two hundred dollars every month? When you go to work, ride the buss or go in a car pool. Not only will you save yourself a bunch of gas money but you will also prevent wear and tear on your car or truck. But be wise and put this extra money you have saved into a savings program so when you need a little bit of extra cash, you will have some.

48. Do not park a refrigerator next to a stove. The heat coming off of the stove will cause the frig to use more energy.

49. Install in your bathroom a low-efficient shower head. It will cut down your water use by 50%.

50. Most of your clothes can be washed in cold water using cold-water detergents. Extra dirty clothes will need a warmer water, but in the long run look at all the money you can save by washing most of your clothes in cold water.

51. Insulate your water heater with a Water-Heater Blanket. These can be bought at Home-Improvement Stores. These special blankets will help to keep your hot water HOT for a much longer period of time.

52. If you will take the time to vacuum under your frig and on the back side once a month, your frig will work so much better and it will use by far less energy.

53. When you decide to plant trees in your yard for good looks or shade, plant nut or fruit trees. Because the prices on fruit are always going up in the stores, the mature fruit and nut trees will provide all the produce you want and over the years it will be for free. This includes peaches, pears, apples,plums and apricots just to name a few of the possibilities. Again I say that all of this fruit will be free for the taking over the years.

54. Many of us have a clothes dryer. They are really nice to have but they do use up a lot of energy. If you would like to save some big bucks, then hang your wet clothes out side on the sunny days. The cool breeze that is blowing on them will make your clothes soft and fluffy and fresh smelling. Plus your electric or gas utility bill will be much lower.

55. When I was younger I lived in California, USA for two years and I was told about those who could easily pick your pockets. They can pick every pocket except your front pockets. So from that time fourth I have always put my wallet into my front pants pockets with the smaller bills and wear a money belt around my waist whenever I had to take the larger bills or you could put your larger bills into your shoe. To this very day I still put my wallet in my front pants pocket while other men put them into their back pockets and they loose their wallet from time to time. So be wise in the way that you carry your money when you go places.

56. Raw peanuts and raisins are added to the boiling water for a few minutes before adding the rice. This will give the rice an unusual but excellent taste.

57, When you pick green tomatoes out of your garden before a frost, you can speed up the ripening time by putting those green tomatoes into an air tight bag with apples. They are both creating ethylene gas as they sit in that air tight bag which speeds up the tomato ripening time.

58. For all of you who grow radishes in your garden, you can eat the radish tops also. Wash the leaves and cut them up to be put into your salads, soups and stir fried foods. This will give your food a peppery taste. These radish tops are rich in vitamins and minerals. Don't eat the radish tops from a store. You have no idea as to what chemicals were sprayed onto them to help them to grow.

59. Would you like to keep your refrigerator from becoming smelly?  Put an open box of baking soda into your frig. This will stop all smells. Putting baking soda on your body after a bath will prevent body odor. Also by putting some of this into your shoes it will put a stop to stinky feet. Leave an open box of baking soda on the counter of your kitchen, it will help to clear up any bad kitchen smells and IT WILL STOP ANY FIRE THAT MAY ACCIDENTALLY BE STARTED. Keep a box of baking soda near the stove so that you can grab it when you need it.
      You can also use Charcoal Briquettes to stop odors in the frig. After a time you can reheat them in an oven and use them over and over again. Maybe you can double this idea by putting both of these into the frig to stop all odors.

60. If the water fixtures on your sink or tub gets dull looking from soap suds, soak a rag in vinegar and wrap it around the fixture. This will loosen up the soap suds and you will be able to polish up those fixtures again.

61. It is best to have three kinds of cutting boards in your kitchen for safety reasons. One is for fish and meats, one is for onions and garlic and the third one is for fruits, vegetables and baking products. Wash them after using them and write onto them Meat, Onion and Other.

62. Do you have some silver containers that are tarnished and you have no silver cleaner? Try some toothpaste and coat the silver object with it. Work it into a foam and then rinse it off with warm water. If your silver object has intricate grooves then use a soft bristled toothbrush and again work it into a foam before a warm rinse.Baking Soda will also work. Just sprinkle it onto a damp rag and rub the tarnish off followed by a warm rinse.

63. Do you have an Ant problem in your house?  Make a mixture of half and half water and vinegar  and wash or spray your counter tops, cabinets and the floors with this mixture. You can also sprinkle baby powder on the ant entrance ways. Ants will not walk through baby powder.

64. Grass stains are common in children's clothes. To remove them rub diluted rubbing alcohol on the stain followed by a liquid laundry soap. Then put your clothes into the washing machine.

65. When the weather is sunny and dry outside, hang your clothes on a clothes line instead of using the dryer. This will save you a bunch of money. Or you can hang them on your back porch, or in a large shed, in the basement, or in the bedrooms being they are not generally used during the day. Just string up some clothesline and take it back down when you are not using it.
      In Italy most people will hang their clothes on a clothesline rather then use a dryer because it saves them money. Try it and your gas or electric bill will be much less.

66. Remember to turn off any lights you are not using in your house. Also dimmer switches will use much less energy then the regular switches. Remember also that that pure white walls inside your house will reflect more light then dark walls.

67. If your car or truck battery gets some acid on the terminals, make a paste of baking soda and water. Then put this onto your battery.

68. When your radiator on your car or truck gets a small leak and it will not hold water, dump some black pepper into it. The small pieces will swell up and plug up the holes as the water circulates. Even a car mechanic will tell you to do this. If the black pepper does not work then you may have to put in a new radiator. But this black pepper will plug most of the holes. When you go on a long trip, take a can of black pepper with you just in case your radiator starts leaking.

69. If you grow a garden every year, you could save yourself over a thousand dollars on your food bill. Plus anything you eat from an organically grown garden will protect you from Cancer. If you know nothing about gardening you will find a lot of books at the local library on the subject or one of your neighbors will gladly come over to your house and help you to get started. The worst part of growing a garden is keeping the weeds down. The weeds will grow faster then your garden plants and they will prevent them from growing. So it is important to pull the weeds all summer long. But the eating of your produce from the garden after all that work, this is the best part of growing a garden. Gardening can be fun if you are always trying new gardening methods and growing the new varieties of garden seed. Believe me, it is a wonderful hobby.

70. It is very important to open up a savings account at a bank. As a general rule put 10% of each paycheck into the bank. If this does not look possible then try at least 20 dollars. When ever anything breaks down and you may need money for car parts or parts for home repairs, you will have money in the bank to take care of it. If the savings account should some day amount to several thousand dollars then you could borrow from your yourself for another car, a new stove or a new frig. In this way you will not need to get a loan from a bank. But what ever amount of money that you pull out of the bank, do not cheat yourself. Slowly put it back into the savings account again so that the next time you need money you will have some.

71. Make bacon really tasty and grease will not pop out of the fry pan. Dip each piece of bacon into sweet milk and then roll it into flour before frying them. The bacon will not shrink as much and the brown grease is excellent for making gravies.

72. For the most beautiful potatoes you have ever cooked, add one teaspoon of vinegar or lemon juice to the water. This will make the potatoes a snowy white in color.

Remedies For Burns.

      This is a subject that should be taken very seriously. " All Burns Should Be Handled By A Doctor Or A Trained Medical Person ". But some of you may live far away from a Doctor or getting to a Doctor is not possible. If this is the case with you, then there are some Remedies that can be helpful.

      First of all there are three kinds of burns:

 A. First Degree Burns----This is a minor burn. A sunburn, a rash or a burn from scalding hot water.

 B. Second Degree Burns----This is when the burn forms blisters on the skin.

 C. Third Degree Burns----This is the most Serious Burn, when flesh has been burnt. This is a burn that will put a person into a state of shock. On this type of Burn a person needs to be taken to a Doctor just as soon as possible. This kind of Burn could cause death or if blood poisoning sets in, the person could loose an arm or a leg.

      If a Doctor can not be found, the first choice I have as a Remedy is HONEY! This is a good choice for both Second and Third Degree Burns. Remove all the clothing from the burnt area and then coat the Burn with a thick layer of Honey. For serious Third Degree Burns, treat the person for shock. Rest the head on a pillow, and lay him on his back. Elevate both feet so that they are higher then the head and then cover the person with a blanket.

      A mid-western Doctor from the United States was faced with an emergency, and his child had Third Degree Burns. There was plenty of Honey available so he coated his son with the Honey. When the burns all healed, there was no scaring. When the Doctor went back to work, he talked the hospital into having plenty of Honey available to be used on burnt patients. Honey is both a natural healer and a disinfectant. It naturally draws the heat out of a Burn.

      A second way to treat a 2nd or 3rd Degree Burn comes from a book called " Back To Eden " by a Jethro Kloss. This man is an expert when it comes to herbs and how to use them. On page 283 of his book, he talks about treating deep serious Burns by soaking a clean cloth in Kerosene and wrapping it around the Burn. The Writer claims he has treated many large burns with this Kerosene method and there was very little  pain. My wife said it is strange to use a flammable fuel like Kerosene on a Burn, but in the good old days there were a lot of different substances that was used as Remedies.       A second way to treat a 2nd or 3rd Degree Burn by Jethro Kloss was to bath these Burns with a special lotion. This is made be taking a teaspoon each of Golden Seal, Myrrh and Boric Acid and you add these three to a pint of boiling water. You let this mixture stand for a half of an hour. Then you pour off the clear liquid and apply these three ingredients with a cotton ball to the Burn. Then you cover the treated Burn with a gauze. He goes on to say that if there is any proud flesh then sprinkle it with Burnt Alum. Even Jethro Kloss suggests that if the Burn is deep then you need to see a Doctor or go to the hospital.

      Most of the minor Burns can be treated at home or where ever an activity is taking place. There are several Remedies for minor burns. they are as follows:

 1. It is wise to have an Aloe Vera plant growing on your window sill at your house. When a person gets a minor Burn, the juice from an Aloe Vera plant is very soothing to a Burn and it will help it to heal without any major problems.
 2. Egg whites mixed with olive oil and applied to a Burn, this will bring the heat out and after a gauze that has been put over the Burn, it will heal properly.
 3. As listed above Honey is great when applied to Burns follow by a gauze.
 4. There are many salves and lotions that can be bought at a store to be used on Burns. The store manager will help you to pick the right one.

      Often when you are on the beach, or at a picnic or working or playing in your own backyard, many of us will get sun burnt. Below are several ways to treat sunburn:

 A. I personally have used Yellow Prepared Mustard. This is often available at picnics and other family get togethers. Just rub it on your arms or neck . It is soothing and it makes the burning go away. At night you can go to sleep without that prickly feeling on the back of your neck with Mustard applied to it.

 B. The juice from a slice of onion rubbed on minor Burns is very soothing.

 C. Cut a lemon in half and rub the lemon juice all over the minor Burn.

 D. If you have Vitamin E Oil, rub this onto minor Burns. It draws the heat out and it is very soothing.

 E. House hold Vinegar is good for minor Burns.

 F. The juice of a strawberry cut in half is very soothing to a sunburn.

 G. The juice from a slice of potato is great for sunburn.

 H. White Flour, Baking Soda and Corn Starch will stop a Burn. A friend of mine was using an iron skillet and he got it too hot. He burned his hand real bad when he grabbed the handle. There was a bag of flour near by and he put his hand into the flour and found instant relief.

 I. Wearing a bandanna around your neck or wearing a long sleeve cotton shirt, this will prevent sunburn on the arms and back of your neck.

      One should never panic when there are so many ways to treat a Burn. One of the first rules of thumb in treating a Burn on your hands or feet is to put them into cold water for several minutes. This will stop the burning process, then you apply Honey or mustard to it and bandage it.

      A lady from India who was living in the United States, she suggested of putting yogurt on any Burn even the deep ones and then bandage it up. Also it was suggested of taking a clean cloth and soaking this into White Vinegar and wrap this around 2nd and 3rd Degree Burns changing the bandages once or twice a day. This will cause the Burn to heal without any problems.

      AGAIN I REPEAT MYSELF THAT ALL BURNS SHOULD BE TREATED SERIOUSLY BY A DOCTOR OR GO TO THE HOSPITAL AND GET THE BURN PROPERLY CARED FOR.

      By the way, those of you who have First Aid Kits and you carry them where ever you go, it is wise to include a small bottle of Honey, mustard and/or Vinegar. These could be the small squeezable plastic bottles. Or a small bottle of Vitamin E Oil will also work. These are to be used for burns only. If you use Honey then you need to check it from time to time to make sure it will not crystallize. Of course you can remelt it by letting it sit in the sun.

      I have been informed about  " St. John Wort Oil " that this oil is great for deeper Burns followed by a bandage. Also when blisters have formed, do not break them open to let the fluid out. You can prevent infection by leaving the fluid where it is. This is the bodies natural barrier in protecting the Burn from dirt and infection.

      Have you ever heard of a 4th, 5th or a 6th Degree Burn? You do not hear much about these three because they are somewhat Military Terms. The 4th Degree Burn are rashes that form all over your body because you have been exposed to an operating Military Antenna for too long of a period of time. The 5th Degree Burns are Radiation Burns that would form on your body from being exposed to Radio-Active substances. This is very deadly and very few people survive it. People who are involved in an Atom Bomb drop will suffer from 5th Degree Burns and very few people will survive this experience.
      The 6th Degree Burns is usually the most feared of all the Burns. These Burns on the body comes from Extra-Teresteral Technology. In other words someone got captured by Aliens and experiments were done on them. If this ever happens to you, it is best to keep your mouth shut to those you do not trust, because you may end up being a test subject for some government scientist that will want to know how, when,where and why you have received those 6th Degree Burns. Most of the Worlds Governments will tell you that Aliens from another planet is all a bunch of boloney. But at the same time the US Air Force has two books that talks about UFO'S and Aliens. They are called " The Air Force Blue Book " and  " The Air Force Black Book ". Both of these books can be checked out through the Inter-Library Loan Program. The Library at  Utah State has both of these books on the second floor for anyone to read. But they will not loan them out.
